Introduction:

The FV580 “Gurung” IFV is a fictional IFV based on the FV510 Warrior IFV primarily in use by the British Army. It is also based on the M2A3 Bradley in use with the United States Army. The Gurung is a modern day IFV designed in the UK in Essex & was given to the Royal Gurkha Rifles to aid in the mechanised infantry efforts. The Gurung costs roughly £2.4m per unit which is relatively cheap compared to other offerings.

The Gurung has a 40mm Auto Cannon which fires AP & HE as standard, it also has a ATGM launcher mounted to the side of the turret which can be deployed to engage heavily armoured targets. It also has x2 7.62mm Machine Guns, one for the gunner which is coaxially mounted & one for the commander in the form of a RWS (Remote Weapon Station).

The Gurung strangely doesn’t carry any troops into combat but is rather designed to escort the troop carriers into battle with its offensive weaponry. The Gurung only has 4 seats all of which are crew designated.
