Server Currency

Description
Basic Currency Mod For Your Server. No extra clothing items added in. No built-in marketplace or trading system. Just some currency options, with optional recipes to create and manipulate them. Copper, Silver, and Gold Coins. Coins have a percent chance to spawn on zed corpses.

Copper - 20%
Silver - 5%
Gold - 1%

As shown in the image above, an example test run yielded 12 copper coins, 2 silver coins, and a single gold coin, after killing 104 zombies. The settings used for the example in the image, are the same as mentioned below; default loot rarity ("rare"), and "normal" amount of zombies spawned. I feel this is a good balance, but I will be integrating the ModOptions framework into this mod eventually as well, allowing you adjust the percentage drop chances for each coin type, eventually.

Spawn Note: This mod was built/tested with mostly default settings in sandbox mode, on single-player. Therefore it's "tuned" to normal zed spawns, and rare loot, as those are the defaults when you start a new sandbox game. Additionally, it was tested with only weapon durability indicator, and cheat menu rebirth (so I could spawn the massive amounts of scrap metal and wire to test making the coins) as the only mods active other than the base mod, and the two optional modules. I cannot guarantee it to work with any other particular mods, however, I see no reason why it wouldn't work just fine with any and all other mods, even other currency mods.

Please Note: There are no 3D models for this yet, so although you can drop/place them, they don't look like they belong, as they use the default 2D icon image when you do so. I will eventually add 3D models for the coins, however, I will first have to learn to do so, which may be a little while. The purpose of the mod doesn't exactly require them, as this is mostly meant as an item that players would be keeping in their inventory, or some sort of container in theory, so I didn't bother with them at first.

Optional Modules:
Coinsmith: allow players to craft a copper coin using 5 scrap metal and 1 electrical wire (they're usually made of copper IRL).

Coinstacker: allow players to merge lower coins to higher, and to split higher coins into lower. Increments of 10. Example: 10 copper coins can be merged into 1 silver coin; 1 gold coin can be split into 10 silver.

Planned Updates:
  • Placeable 3D models
  • ModOptions integration

That mods author would have to modify that mod to work with it, so unless they already did so, likely not, no.

Do these coins work with the mod "shops" ?
that mod uses bronze silver and gold coins to buy items, but there is not a good way for players to acquire them.

Soo during the 90's we had to use medieval currency? I thought it was pen-nays and Nic-Kalz and Qua-Tarz and Dol-lArz and laffy taffys...

:P nice z keep it up.
