Nova Imperium Romanum

Description
There are a lot of mods expanding the many flavours of Rome on the workshop. Some are outdated, some are broken, and so on. I decided to fix some of them up, expand the elements of others, cut the chaff, and the result was NIR.

===Features===

Romanise the HRE - live out the dreams of Otto III

Unify Romes - make like Charlemagne and marry a Byzantine Princess. Nobody can say you're not Rome if you're both realms that hold Roman legitimacy! Also works with the Latin Empire.

Republican Options - get in an early renaissance and even restore the entire Roman Republic

African Roman content - promote the African Romance culture, and even restore the African Exarchate of Justinian.

Latin Empire endgame - show all of the former Empire of the Greeks the real power of the Pope. You might never restore the whole Roman Empire, but you can crush the dream of Byzantium forever.

Third Rome - if Byzantium falls, someone must carry Rome's legacy through the Orthodox faith. The Rus can finally become, or establish, the Third Rome.

Alexander - he might not be Roman, but Alexander was the inspiration for Roman heroes. Those who follow the Hellenic Gods in Persia can try and restore Alexander's Empire. This was mostly made because I wanted to give Greeks a reason to go East rather than West.

All of these, except Third Rome and Alexander, can be for Hellenists or for Christians. There are unique bloodlines, titles, and other benefits up for grabs for those who claim Rome's legacy. There's even a few new cultures, which are all fully functional and part of vanilla groups.

=== What This Mod Doesn't Do ===
This mod doesn't and will never include the option to restore Western Rome - the HRE is the 'Rome in the West', and you can make it truly Holy and Roman if you want.
It also doesn't include the Sultunate of Rum - I'd do it a disservice.
I haven't included Roman Britain either, though I have other plans for that... stay tuned, if that's what you're into.

=== Compatibility ===
The mod doesn't alter any vanilla files, so compatibility issues should be minimal. If you have mods with conflicting features that might cause issues though - so 'Heirs of Rome', which also includes a formable Roman Republic, might well cause some jank.

=== Credits & Thanks ===
The "Roman Revival" mod by Themiband was a massive source of inspiration to this mod - it actually began life as some personal alterations to that! Thanks Themiband, this mod wouldn't exist without you. It also means our mods are incredibly incompatible - I've used the same namespace for events and such just to be extra sure, this is very much either/or.

A massive thanks to the folks over at When the World Stopped Making Sense - I'm horrible with dynasties and names, and I took the African Romance names and dynasties (and one or two art assets) from them. It was a real lifesaver.

Every single Romeaboo who's ever made mods for CK2, since you probably got me into this game to begin with in some shape or form. Roma Invicta!

Is it compatible with HIP?

Explicitly no, Ravenspeaker. You can't hold any other Empire title if you want to form Alexander's Empire - you have to be a King-tier, Greek cultured, Hellenic faith ruler with your capital in Persia.

Can you form Alexanders empire as Byzantium?

Could you please make it so the "Unite the Roman Pretenders" decision absorbs de jure kingdoms of HRE and ERE into the Roman Empire? It would also be cool if you did the same thing for the Third Rome and the Argead Empire

I think your capital has to be in the Persian region, yes. Your primary title might also have to be a kingdom which is de jure part of the Persian Empire, it's been a while since I wrote the mod.

So if my capital is in constantinople/anywhere else, do i have to move my capital to somewhere in persia?

You'll need to be a Hellenic pagan, Greek-cultured king ruling in the region of Persia. From there, the decision to form Alexander's Empire should appear in your decisions menu, and will have the requirements listed.
