Report a translation problem
It can fly up to 50km away from the nearest antenna, so it is pretty much on it's own.
But you can't go outside of antenna range, because it is not a manned craft.
It also has only one battery, so flight range, especially on planets might be limited.
The Fighter Drone needs to be in range of an antenna and its own antenna must be on for this to work.

If the Drone is docked, you need to find it's remote control block in the console. It is abbreviated to "RC", so search for that and you shuold find it in the list.
Select the RC and press the control button in the middle column.
From there you are in control of the drone. Make sure that the drones antenna is activated and that is in range of an active antenna when you undock, otherwise you will loose control instantly.
