Choose one blank tile and build your tiles around the one you have chosen. You want to match edge perfectly, which you do by matching the biomes. The side of the tile will light up white if it is a correct match.

You'll want to make the ring around the blank tile 2 tiles thick to get 7 perfect tiles.

To get the most points I suggest placing a water tile and a rail tile facing each other on the sides of a separate tile, the start tile is good for this.

Using quests helps boost your score. Once you have everything in place, and preferably only 1 tile needed for each water and rail quest, place a water/rail tile in the middle as shown in the screen shots.

How you want your board to look before placing that last time for 7 perfect tiles and a high point grab.

Placing the tile, you can see the white glow letting me know the sides of the tile match.

And the end result. Check out how much the score jumped by.

To those who are confused why the 7 perfects do not give you enough points, you need bonus points from ALSO completing quests at the same time with the single tile placement, as described and shown above. As mentioned elsewhere, each perfect is only 60 points, so 420 points only from perfects. You then need an additional 240 points. Since each goal is worth 100 points, you would need 3 goals.

I just put down seven perfects and completed one quest at the same time. I was just short of the achievement. 😭

note the 3 1+ water quests that tachycardia has completed here at the same time as getting 7 perfects. 7 perfects are unfortunately not enough, being 60 each (420 for the 7).

I got 7 perfects, but only got 580 points instead of 660
I guess is messed up somewhere😭

The challenge does not have to be one of the 3 active ones but you do need to have unlocked the challenge by completing preplaced tiles. Maybe it is different now than it was before, but the 3 active challenges do not limit what challenges you can achieve get from the unlocked challenges. To see what challenges you can complete you go to "rewards" from the menu.

@Marick2Die I think you need to have the Analyst mission active in order for it to count. If you have, say, Landscaper, Farmer and Engineer, then even if you do score the necessary points, Analyst won't count. But if you have Analyst I active and score 660, you'll get II, III, all the way to VII.

I did this and did not get the achievement. I even hit "undo" and did it again to count and sure enough, it was 7 perfects. So I'm assuming you have to get the Analyst II, III, etc. one at a time before you're eligible to unlock the Analyst VII achievement.
