Everything is tested on a 2070S Card for 50–60 FPS in 4k in max Detail.

On a modern card, you can enable all extensions. (Global Illumination, Volumetric Fog, High-Quality Shadows, and leave Volumetric Clouds on)

On a 2070S card or equivalent, I disable the add-ons except Volumetric Clouds. Everything has been tested to run on around ~50- 60 FPS on the 2070S in 4K and maximum details. And even without Global Illumination, etc, it looks quite good. ;)



* RTX Cards: Turn off Raytracing! It does not help much visually, but has issues with Mechwarrior and lowers performance dramatically.

Get the "Mod Options" Mod on the Nexus — it allows you to configure ambient volume, Volumetric Fog, Volumetric Clouds and much more. It also allows customizing general atmosphere densities and night brightness.
Get it here and drop it in your mod folder and enable in-game:

* Xenopax Optimize: Causes issues with custom particle systems (large bouncy boulders instead of correct particles), not recommended when using vonBiomes
* Any other Lighting / Weather mods: if you use other lighting mods overriding vonBiomes, you loose the dynamic lighting, probably also sky bodies, etc, etc. - not recommended.
