One question though - playing this on a fairly competent machine I received a "memory blown..." something or other (message, and the game crashed) to which I responded with an equally immediate uninstall.
Let's say I'm reinvested having read through your material. I guess this'd be the one question. Can I remedy this some how? Thanks!
2) Batlemage- for starters, *keep* that initial Healing Spell. it is the only healing spell that will NOT cost you 2x to cast. I quest for same Artifacts as Assassin and make custom spells for Levitation/ Light combo; Spell Absorption (so my Mana is constantly replenished); and at higher levels use only TWO spells:one single target range magic based; and another one large area range magic based.
I still carry the SAVEGAMEs from Cromm knows when...
The descriptions for racial boni are inverted, it is Redguards that get to add level/3 to thei MELEE, while Woodelves do the same for BOWS.
That being said, the ones i have most fun playing are (always Redguards):
1) Assassin - with all his vulnerability, you have to have some artifacts at hand:
one for spell protection (one of the Rings gives this);
one for Full Restoration (x disease and poison);
a few for convenience (Light and Levitation).
Give him the Ebony Blade and now you dont need Health Potions. I additionally have Rings of Khajeet and Phynaster (each gives -6 do AR) and Necro Amulet for that -9 AR.
I have never read this guide, but I still managed to have fun with this game in its own way, for as clunky, buggy, and weird as Arena is. It truly is a unique experience.
