Rolfs Truck Tuning Pack (Racing Edition)

Description
This modification brings into play the most powerful commercially available tuned + truck racing & enhanced engines I have found worldwide, as well as a quick-shifting Allison 4700 RDS R Continuous Power Technology™ fully automatic transmission for maximum acceleration and driving comfort.
An overview of all engines can be found below.

Q: Why this mod?
A: A lot of years i had really fun in driving trucks here, but some years ago SCS decide to overhaul the downshift and upshift points for the automatic transmissions which culminating in some engines feeling sluggish. Since this point i had no more the fun like before, and that's why I decided to build a modification that brings back that driving fun.

Q: What will your mod change?
A: This mod will change the engine speeds at which the automatic transmission moves from the currently rather low speeds (depending on the truck and engine) to significantly higher speeds. It turns the high-performance mode of adaptive automatic shifting back into a true high-performance mode!

Q: What else does this mod change?
A: From time to time I search the internet to see what real truck tuners do with real trucks, and I only use the most powerful engine I can find for a truck in this mod. This means that you not only have more engine speed, but also more engine power! In addition, some trucks even have an engine from the truck racing area included.

Q: Are the engines in this mod real?
A: They are half real because, on the one hand, I only integrate engines that you can actually buy from a real truck tuner, but my engines have been given a few "special functions" and are therefore not 100% real.

Q: Which "special functions" are you referring to?
A: The maximum torque is available across the entire speed range, meaning there is neither a weak start (only applies in combination with the Allison 4700 RDS R!) nor a drop off at higher speeds. Thanks to "Hill Boost", a special speed power boost, even extremely steep hills can be easily mastered.

Q: Why this Allison transmission?
A: In contrast to the other transmissions, the Allison 4700 RDS R transmission has several advantages: Thanks to its Continuous Power Technology™, there is no interruption in traction when shifting, which makes for a much smoother and more powerful drive than you are used to, especially in combination with my specially tuned engines. In addition, its torque converter doubles the torque when starting off, making it perfect for heavy loads!

Q: Why sometimes such high engine speeds?
A: First and foremost, this mod aims to bring back the fun of driving that you had before SCS lowered the engine speeds so much a few years ago. In addition, the engines have significantly more power for heavy-duty transport, on steep mountains, and at higher speeds. However, it is also due to certain peculiarities of the SCS game engine that made this adjustment necessary.

Q: Does this mean I have to fill up more often now?
A: All engines are optimized. This means that you normally don't consume any more than with the SCS standard engines. However, due to their principle, the racing engines sometimes consume significantly more.

Q: Is this mod right for everyone?
A: I would say no. It is only for people who want to have more fun driving trucks. Due to the increased power of the engines, they are particularly well suited for heavy-duty trips. However, for standard freight, some engines have too much excess power. In addition, the tuned engines often have much higher speeds than you are used to. But this can be reduced (see next section). The engine is perfectly tuned for high-performance driving with the Allison automatic transmission. Manual transmissions, on the other hand, can reach revs for which the engine sounds were not designed, which is why it then falsely sounds as if the engines are over-revving. Other transmissions (especially those with many gears) are not recommended!

Q: Is there anything else you need to know?
A: Yes. All engines supplied and the unchanged Allison 4700 RDS R transmission form a perfect unit. The engines have been carefully tuned for high-performance driving with this special automatic transmission both without and with cruise control in standard tire sizes. This combination delivers full performance without any switching pauses in any gaming situation. It is highly recommended that you set the "adaptive automatic shifting" to "high performance mode"! Otherwise you will not have the full power and performance! But if the engines are too powerful for someone, the revs (much) too high, or you just drive standard freight, you can definitely switch to "normal performance mode" or "economic mode" instead. This also lowers the speed level at full throttle. I don't recommend disabling "adaptive automatic shifting" as this will negate almost all of my mod's improvements! Depending on the driving situation, it is also possible to suggest a higher gear to the automatic transmission, which can also reduce the engine speed even further. For better control, a gaming steering wheel with real pedals is recommended.

Q: Can i really reach 250 km/h with these engines like the picture suggest?
A: Yes, but only with the engines over 850 PS/625kW 4000Nm it is guaranteed without trailer.

Q: What does Racing Edition mean?
A: This version not only gets the most out of engine tuning, but there are also some engines from the truck racing area.

Q: What are enhanced engines?
A: Engines for which I have not yet found any tuning at least get the other optimizations (e.g. higher engine speed level), and thus offer significantly more agility and driving pleasure even without more torque!

Q: Which engines are now included?
A: Tuned + Racing & Enhanced engines:

Yes, there was a Scania R1000 a lot of years ago, and also a R1000 from the last time, but this are not more than fan projects...

hi Rolf, yes your right, i thought this was a new production truck, it seems its a concept design which is unfortunate, it would of been good to have 1000hp production Scania, especially with the new long cab, we can only hope that it may come out in the future.

@atlantisbloom
I was searching for this truck, but it looks more like a fake truck, not official by Scania.
Can you verify this truck surly with information's you give me (links and so on...)?

Sorry i mean Rolf not Ralf.
atlantisbloom 12 Jul @ 3:25pm
Apparently new there is a new 1000hp scania called the R1000 coming out soon, with a 16.4 litre V8 engine, hope your well Ralf, keep up the good work.

@Micha
I meant the normal tuned engine or the extreme tuned engine from the Le Mans Racing Renault Premium truck, but ok...
315 km/h is no problem. This speed is confirmed by other race truck tuners for trucks with not so much power.
Micha 16 Jun @ 5:12am
the renault magnum is a bit newer than the one i have driven. The renault T is the newest.
Micha 16 Jun @ 5:09am
I own the normal one with the 1900HP engine. Btw, i also have reached 315 Kmh.:steamthumbsup::steamthumbsup:😃

@Micha
Which Renault premium truck do you own?
If you are using my mod then you have two engines. A normal tuned engine with 630 PS, and the Le Mans Race Truck engine with an optional NOS system which gains 1900PS. The last is OP and not for normal driving! Some Race Trucks reach over 300 km/h without speed limiter!

This is sooooo fast! My Renault premium is OP!!! (It reached 260 KMH!!!)
