Description
Do you remember the first time you played Gothic 2 without NotR? Do you remember what an experience it was not understanding the game and getting the ass handed to you by every enemy? From that time until today we all got better at the game. We can't just forget how to play Gothic. If you replayed Vanilla Gothic 2 recently you might've been surprised how easy of a game it is. This mod essentially restores the FEELING of playing Vanilla Gothic 2 for the first time. Game is harder, more balanced and shorter - no pirates, mayan temples and Jharkhendar. I believe for many its a plus.

Gothic 2 Mod Fix is a modification with a trifold scope:

1) it gets rid of Night of the Raven Addon - restores original, vanilla Gothic 2 experience
2) it makes vanilla Gothic 2 harder and a lot more balanced. Author aimed for difficulty to be somewhere between vanilla Gothic 2 (which was too easy) and the NotR Addon
3) it fixes a lot of bugs and inconsequences. Original changelog has over 70 sites.

Overall you can expect a shorter, but much more coherent gaming experience. In second chapter you will really feel the dangers of the Valley while sneaking between packs of orcs and wargs and over the entire game you will encounter challenging enemies. Add to that a better character progression feeling and more unique guilds. Mercenaries' ore weapons are now more powerful and paladins weaponry holds its own through the whole game. Playing as a mage you will find a new offensive rune of the 3rd Circle - Ice Lance from the NotR Addon while the rest of the spells have been properly balanced for usefulness. The mod doesn't add any new content apart from some quality of life improvements.

But why would you want this? It seems to me that you get less content i wouldn't even bother but if this is your thing go for it.

Прошел мод на М1про маке в арм виртуалке винды, которая эмулировала х86 откружение. Ни единого вылета

Я бы этот мод не советовал только начинающим игрокам, и то если использовать *все ресурсы* которые найдешь, то даже так он не слишком хардкорен станет и для них.

Что действительно плохо - так это креши(я по 20 раз за час сохраняюсь), потому как ты можешь даже в городе лазить и вылетит ексепшин(это при том что у меня установлен только этот мод и дополнительные аддоны которые для него требуются). В целом - играбельно и интересно, но в плане бабла тяжеловато(кузнечное дело теперь почти бесполезно - учеником Гарада становится смысла нет, потому как прикрыли лавочку с бесконечными заготовками у Беннета) и это добавляет еще больше хардкора.

В мод (как по мне - никому не навязываю и понимаю твою позицию) хорошо вошло изменение по бонусам от зелий + теперь в самом начале игры *реально сложно* достать самое крутое оружие(без гильдии). Единственное что я заметил в плане баланса(что и мне тяжело даётся) - так это невозможность бить скелетов(даже гоблинов) луком или арбалетом. Но даже так, это куда интереснее чем в первой главе вырезать всех и вся с арбалетом Удара(из замка).

@Logros, Ну смотри - то что поменяли характеристики некоторому оружию - это норм. Играть стало местами сложнее - это факт. Это не Г2 НВ с её кучей проблем и провтыков - где ты мог буквально запороть героя потому как увеличивалась стоимость прокачки навыков(и пофик на таблички). Это ванилла+. Да тут уже не прокачаешь себе супергероя только на зельях и не сделаешь мастера на все руки - потому как даже если попытаешься, он не будет сверх-имбовым.

Есть ощущение что разработчики мода сильно залезли в баланс. Не могу сказать что конкретно изменилось, но по воспоминаниям оригинальная Готика 2 игралась не так. Есть подозрения что изменена прогрессия прокачки. Если хотите поиграть в оригиную Готику, такой какой она была выпущена разработчиками, то этот мод не рекомендую.

There is a feeling that the developers of the mod have got into a lot of balance. I can't say exactly what changed, but according to my memories, the original Gothic 2 wasn't played like that. There are suspicions that the leveling progression has been changed. If you want to play origami Gothic, such as it was released by the developers, then I do not recommend this mod.

Is anyone else getting a similar exception(game crash)?
I am near the Tavern - where a lot of Scavengers are present and the game just crashes as soon as I get close to the tavern(it is around 8PM in-game and I am approaching it from the side with a hunter camp).
