Mid-Tier Lawrenceville Rowhouses

Description
A dream starter home for the Staten-Island fresh - or an extremely fortunate Millennial!

Consider the modest row house. Skinny sidewalk, truncated backyard, steep stairs, boxy windows and doors. For an exploding immigrant class in the mid-industrial era, it is a fine place for one (or several) families. Eventually, indoor plumbing and environmental smog controls would make living here tolerable enough for some hipsters to turn these into exposed-brick walkup chic.

Made to (with luck) be used by Gaseous Stranger in their fantastic Pittsburgh 1:1 recreation, found here on Youtube. I've been a miserly POS, and sat on these models (along with these Queen Annes) for quite a while. You wouldn't believe the travails of publishing an asset, especially with a new computer and a cross-country move under the belt.

Fortunately, the imitable Bungalow Man inspired a bit of gumption with their recent Victorian creations.

Description

This is a quaint working-class 1800s rowhouse. They are simple in plan, appearance, and features. The great Steel City unfortunately determined many of this stock to be sub-code in the last midcentury, and bulldozed plenty in the Tragedy of the Hill District. They live on here, and in neighborhoods like the South Side Flats and Lawrenceville.

They are fairly similar to Smilies' excellent rowhouses based on the same, found here, here, and here. Those assets can be seen in my screenshots above next to my creations, but I shrank Smilies' assets in the Asset Editor to ~80% (0.8) of their original size to fit in. Alternatively, you could increase the size of my assets by 125%. My rowhouses are a bit smaller than 1-tile-wide, and will have a natural gap when populating. Join them together with MoveIt!

In this single asset, you (should) get FOUR separate buildings! All four are fairly similar, complete with stoops, siding, additions, one with a mansard roof, one without any dormers. Play around with them! You can use various dormer assets (like those included in the European Suburbia housing pack) to add additional decor or customize. You do not need any asset pack to use my assets here.

Recommended Assets

Pdelmo bushes (Regular Bushes), hockenheim95's BIG pavement decals, an air con unit by Simulant, a Wooden Fence, and some vanilla assets were used to decorate the lot. Because my danged asset list is so long, I can't actually list the Wood Fence, but it's the classic broken one by . Lacking these other subscriptions will do no harm.

Great, I'm looking forward to adding some more architectural diversity to my row house neighborhoods.
