The most feature-packed DeathSound Overhaul in the Workshop.

Insurgents uses Pain and Death Sound (My cut) on 1p and 3p.
On DistantDeath, it uses Fappy's Original Version, so you get those 20-second long voicelines without it still playing on respawn.

Security uses Tarkov Death Sound on 1p and 3p.
On DistantDeath, it uses the Sandstorm Pain and Death sound, which are also quite long. If I'm understanding the game mechanics correctly, 1p and 3p is spawned on the player, while Distant is spawned on the ragdoll entity. Separating the workshop mods to have their own version of Distant voicelines is a way to prevent longer voicelines to play out on respawn.

IMPORTANT
Place the dso.vpk from 2798353032 in the 222880 workshop folder, to your Custom folder for this to work. This latest version now includes scripts so it won't work unless it's in there.

This mod edits two scripts (game_sounds_player.txt and response_rules.txt) which means it will most likely not work as intended (or at all) in Pure 1 servers.

@Boris thanks for the report, it was working on my end since I have the folder version I work on that is always in the custom folder.

Now that this mod includes scripts, it won't be read unless it's in the custom folder too, it will work as intended if you move it there

is this still working? I deactivated all my mods but this one because I was getting no long death sounds, but it still didn't do the trick.
