(Somewhat) Customizable Fallen Empires

Description
WHY DOES THIS EXIST (PAIN PAIN PAIN):
I'm tired of manually editing the Fallen Empire files and wanted a dirty fix that I could use completely in-game that wouldn't be too big of a compatibility worry, and figured someone else might also prefer a band-aid to no in-game solution at all.

HOW THIS IS USED:
Take a custom empire, give it the "Fallen Empire Template" Civic, and then give it a single (vanilla) Fanatic Ethic, and on game start, the empire with the Civic will be deleted, but its Country name, Ruler name & portrait, & Dominant Species Type & Traits & portrait, will be copied to any existing corresponding Fallen Empire. To customize the Machine Fallen, ignore Ethics and set the Authority to Machine Intelligence instead.

HOW THIS IS DIFFERENT FROM OTHER CUSTOM FE MODS:
The mod "Custom Fallen Empires" ( https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2785782821 ) offers a lot more features than mine, but it creates its Fallen Empires from scratch, and then deletes the vanilla Fallen Empires. My mod only copies a few cosmetic features and changes Dominant Species within otherwise-vanilla Fallen Empires. I hope that this will keep my mod maximally compatible with any other mods that change Fallen Empire mechanics, at the cost of sucking a lot harder since it can't make vanilla Fallen Empires inherit flags or rooms or ruler titles from Templates.

PROBLEMS WITH MY SOLUTION:
Since the force-spawned Country still has to get into a running game to work, it WILL take up an AI slot: adjust the maximum AI accordingly.

If you have Advanced AI enabled, the Template Country might get selected to be Advanced and then get immediately deleted, resulting in fewer Advanced AI than desired.

Will affect evenness of AI distribution throughout the Galaxy.

If you have any mods that trigger galactic doomsday or something like that whenever an empire is destroyed, have fun getting wrecked on day 2.

Doesn't overwrite anything.

i checked and the mod half works, it does change dominant species and name, however it fails to change flag and actually replace leaders and pops

Is it selfish to want this as achievement compatible? Because oh my blorg I want it to be.

That would be Fallen Empires Expanded 3.

Don't play zofe, unsure of what changes it makes. If it alters existing fallens but doesn't do anything like delete them and then spawn its own from scratch, then this mod should make cosmetic changes just fine. If the mod adds something like multiple simultaneously existing fallens with the same fanatic ethic, then there'd be a bit of trouble.

What about zenith with the other fallen types? Example pacify, authority, mega corp, and a few others.

Very cool! Thanks!

It still works, just pick a single Fanatic ethic and the bare minimum of non-Fanatic ethics: it only checks against Fanatic ethics so filling the rest out with 1-point ethics will still work.

I'm running this alongside Bug Branch myself and it's working fine doing it like that!

How does this work with Ethics and Civics Bug Branch (and other EC mods)? They add too many ethics points, so fallen empires require a "FOCUSED" ethic that sucks up all the other points. I imagine this is incompatible then, but would you consider making a compatibility patch for this?
