Tiger V - Advanced automated Allrounder-CV for Reforged Eden

You are sick of turning on and off your thrusters to save fuel? Are you sick of accidently shooting a friendly station as you jumped into your cockpit? You always wanted a single CV for all tasks? You can't afford that CV that needs special cores? You're a hoarder and need to carry around all your loot at all times?

Your suffering could end here!

This is a fully automated, highly configurable, versatile, agile and efficient Allrounder that can fulfil a wide range of roles in your adventures. It is fully equipped, has good firepower, huge storage and decent hangar space for its class while still keeping a minimalistic profile. It can be an early starter (C3-Variant), becomes a Miner, Hauler, SV-Carrier, Dropship and all that in a compact package surrounded by (mostly) combat steel armor at only 2.1M CPU, no need for special cores or other unique components!

Just get into the ship, sit down into the cockpit and fly away - the ship will turn on everything for you!
Just landed? Exit the cockpit, get down the boarding ramp and forget about anything else, you can be down there in 3 seconds - the ship will turn off everything for you!


The full equipment provided is arranged with maximal usability in mind - everything you need is reachable within 10 meters from your cockpit. With its heavy automation features, quick front exit, top hatch and just 18 meters from hangar to cockpit (Proof[gfycat.com]) you wont waste a single second running around your ship, switching stuff on and off or wasting fuel because you're too lazy for that.

Automation:
  • The hangar door opens automatically when you are near it (unless you are in another CV), and stays open until you sit down in the cockpit. Override available in the ship properties.
  • The ramps open and close automatically too, but only if the landing gears are deployed (see HUD). Override available in the ship properties.
  • back spotlight enables automatically when ship is landed on ground and there is someone around the ship.
  • As long as you are in the teleporter room, the shield deactivates and the teleporter turns on.
  • When constructor or deconstructor are toggled on, an indicator light will blink, reminding you that you are consuming power.

When you sit in the cockpit (FlightMode on)...
  • thrusters, radar, spotlight, navigational flares, additional generators and weapons turn on (as configured)
  • hangar door, boarding ramps and hatch close
  • gravity generator, lights, LCDs and levers turns off
  • interactive HUD turns on

When you leave the cockpit (FlightMode off)...
  • thrusters, radar, spotlight, navigational flares, additional generators and weapons turn off after a delay(as configured)
  • gravity generator, lights, LCDs and levers turn on (as configured, depending on your location in the ship)
  • interactive HUD turns off

In the vicinity of the ship...
  • LCDs, levers and lights turn on

What you can configure in the ship properties:
  • manual FlightMode (for when automation is off)
  • toggle on turret groups and sentries (no automation)
  • weapons
  • drills
  • additional thrusters for heavy lifting
  • gravity
  • automation aka automatic pilot recognition [tm]
  • override switch to force open/close hangar
  • override switch to force open/close ramps

Known Issues
  • The ship turns on by itself sometimes. Can't help it, its based on the sensors. If they don't work properly the ships circuits wont either.
  • In Multiplayer the signals don't work. Yes, again - signal logic does not work properly in MP. Use the manual overrides, or just hit the group toggles.
  • Signals go crazy when another player is around. Well, the ship gets excited around other people, its a big cat after all.

FAQ:
Q: Why not fully upgraded?
A: There's a whole CPU left for you to adapt! Add a toolturret, drill turrets, weapons, thrust... whatever you need :)

Q: Why so much text?
A: There is a lot of automation here, learn how to use and configure the ship and never waste time nor a single fuel cell again.

Q: Where is the farm?
A: No farm here. Shouldn't you have enough food for months already if you looted some POIs? Use a base or carrier like the Nomax-Class and a Nomax Farm Extension. If you still think you have to take a farm everywhere with you, go ahead and build one in.

Q: Can i mine voidium with this?
A: Sure, fully upgraded about 90 units. It can also take off a 4G planet with ~4kT cargo. Use the additional thrusters in the configuration. You should have no problems, unless you filled the whole storage with armored concrete and are trying to lift a Tovera.

Q: Why the strange arrangement of the drills?
A: It is optimized for easily mining pentaxid "fingers". Anything else is easy enough anyways.

Q: My Hangar and Ramps stay open/closed after a restart/warp
A: Bug in EGS, toggle the respective overrides on and off to fix that.

Q: I hate the automation
A: You can turn it off, and use the the manual FlightMode Switch or use the ship like you would use any other ship. Some basic things still are motion sensor based (like lights, gravity, etc.)

Q: The automation does not work reliably/ signals work only half the time in MP
A: Signal bugs in EGS, try some workarounds:
* turn automation off and on again
* toggle the force hangar and force ramp once.

Q: Help! Signals stopped working!
A: Bugs in EGS. Some workarounds:
* turn the automation switch on and off 1 or 2 times.
* check if signals deactivated themselves in the ship properties
* walk slowly far away and slowly back to the ship.
* re-dock with other CV if its docked
* re-dock all docked ships
* logout and login or restart the game.

Obstructed thrusters are not illegal blocks, they just don't work.

@Leaf: I don't know what that server is running, check the BP in creative. If it is using the obstructed-thruster setting, you may need to remove the lower wingtips, since they are technically blocking the thrusters.

@Vollinger Great ship mate, Sermy and I have been using them as our main ships for two weeks now! Also just made ourselves a Nomax with a farm module and are both running Wasps. You have made exactly what I wanted in ships but made them a thousand times better than I could.
