The Miranda Village

This mod was originally a special birthday present from Fizzban to LaCroix. However, the two decided to form Team Miranda and as such continue to develop the game to make it ready for release. The first version of Mirandadorf was featured on our forums at the end of June 2004.

Although written for Gothic, the modification is a classic adventure. Role-playing elements such as experience points, attributes, battles or equipment have been removed. Instead, there are tough puzzles, crazy characters and crazy situations. In addition, so that the player can roam the village carefree, it is not possible to die or get into dead ends.

"The Miranda Village" is based on and continues the short story "Aluka Miranda" written by the team members. There is therefore no content-related relationship to the Gothic series or the fantasy genre in general. The player slips into the skin of the naïve and idealistic intern Bernds, who for unknown reasons would like to live and work in Mirandadorf for a year.

However, what appeared in the prospectus as an exemplary alternative care facility turns out to be a conglomeration of anti-tech esoterics who spend the day becoming one with the cosmos and leave all the work to the interns.

Since leaving is not possible, the only way out of the misery is to work your way up into the leadership circle of the village. Bernd is getting closer and closer to the dark secret of his internship, because a few weeks ago, the majority of all interns disappeared without a trace. But no one in the village seems particularly bothered by this...
