Dragonet-Class Freighter

"The Dragonet Freighter Class was first created by the transportation company 'Coronet Shipping' as an interstellar Freighter equipped with a Hyperdrive - which was the first of its kind. Once Coronet Shipping absorbed the ship assembly giant 'Tarn Industries' and became 'Coronet Manufacturing', the Dragonet Class was updated with powerful defensive armaments, including torpedo launchers. The reasoning for the weaponisation of the cargo freighter came down to the increased pirate activity in the sector around the Gorgon Nebula following the assault on Gorgon Prime.
Since then, the Dragonet Freighter has become one of the most widely used freight carrier throughout the countless systems populated by humans."

This is a personal little project inspired and heavily based on some space ship concept art I came across looking for Star Wars ships. I've taken several liberties with the design though, so it's by no means an exact replica. It'll be part of a larger world I'm building within Empyrion.

It is meant to go with a small hover vessel that works as a modular container unit,
