So, hunters are OP?
Overkill and Gadgeteer have their place and can certainly be valid options, however I feel the opportunity cost for them is too high. Overkill removes the option to take a better perk like Lightweight or Juggernaut, AND denies you the option of a gadget. Though, personally I think without it, Sledgehammer is a horrible option. I would also currently recommend NOT using harpoon as it was heavily nerfed in the latest patch.
I do think the game is, in general, pretty well balanced so any build can work with a coordinated team, so go wild if you want to run Sledge/Harpoon
