BL-127

Quadruple 100 mm/70 BL-127 designed by OKB-172 in 1949. Modeled according to data given in «Энциклопедия отечественной артиллерии» and «Тайны русской артиллерии» by А. Б. Широкорад.

This turret has four 100 mm/70 guns (the same guns as the ones used in SM-5) placed in two cradles. Each cradle houses two guns with one placed above the other, and the two cradles are placed 1.6 meters apart. Its design objective was to replace the SM-5-1s turrets on Project 68bis cruisers without conducting any special modification to the ship, thus doubling the barrel count of 100 mm guns at the lowest cost.

Historical values of range, elevation limits, horizontal traverse speed, muzzle velocity, shell weight and rate of fire are used in this mod. Damage values are assigned according to Admiral Bofors' damage spreadsheet form NavalArt mod community.

Model of this mod part has been added to the base game in early access version 0.9.7 along with other submitted models from various community contributors.
