NZR 1870s Era Stephenson F

An approximation of one of the 1873 NZR F class as built by Robert Stephensons & Co with its unique cab design and intricate lining that were lost later in service life in the late 1880s onwards. The three of the original Stephenson batch were initially put into service on the Auckland and Drury Railway until it became part of the greater NZR network, no.242 'Ada' being the first loco to haul a passenger train to Onehunga on Xmas Eve, 1873. More versions of both Stephenson and other builder F soon to follow!
