This Mod was commissioned by the Salt Caves RP Community.


Description: Players will experience a red rain at random times, and it is highly advised to seek shelter before the thunder starts. This mod was heavily inspired by the Emissions in the STALKER series of games. It is brutal and it will kill. In sandbox mode the frequency can be tweaked under the Nature tab.

I have no idea why one of my players suggested this. Not only is it only affecting one person at a time, it also looks GOD awful while it does so.

Looks bad, plays bad
Just overlay flickering red was enough to piss off everyone I played with
Concept is good, however storm mechanic lacks some aspects
There are no sound effects, no warning of storm incoming aside from radio and no indication of player taking damage from the storm
We didn't even understand what it does first, then we were clueless on connection between screen flashing red and getting random burns
It took a party builder burned to crisp while he was distracted by carrying logs to start understanding that mayybe we should react to red flashed somehow

I have uploaded a version of it for Build 42. I tested it on my end, seems to work just fine. HOWEVER, I have modified the damage the Storms give off to be incredibly deadly (original damage was 1,4. I have modified it to be 25,50.), as I felt they were intended. Other than that, no changes.

I am no coder so I can't fix any real issues.

@GlobalHawk_MSI - I'm not so sure about Save Our Station, but I DID have this loaded in conjunction with TDIC. Both worked together fairly well without any problems.
