Example Yards

Just a a few Yard ideas for your Layouts. 6 Yards in Total. I hope you do not hate them. I am aware that yard 2 has the ends off and not exactly Realistic. Make these yards has large has you need to just a heads up!

Color Coding:
Red = Rip Tracks. These are Places where lightly Damaged Locomotives and Cars go for Repairs. A few tips! All steam railroad yards MUST have if you wish to have it be realistic has Steam Locomotives need lots of Repairs.
Pink = Caboose track. These are places where Cabooses are stored for later uses. These tend to have a office near by for the Caboose crew. Anywhere below 1980s?, Should have them has they had to put them on the back of their trains. BEWARE!!! For Modern Yards you can still add them but I would Recommend you make it old and rusted has if it is no longer used.
Tan=Switching Tracks (You know what their for)
Blue=Holding Track. Have has many has you need but These are areas where Cars tend to stored.
Green=By Pass tracks. These are ways for Switchers or maybe Locals to pass through yards easily. These areas should mean that those Locomotives take Priority.
Purple=Main line. (You know what that is).
Yellow=Locomotive Storage (to me). Same has blue!

These are not meant to look good but to give a few Ideas.
