Expanded Empires

Expanded Empires is a mod that rids the de jure map of empires that previously did not exist, and expands the decision around forming empires for Christian realms. The kingdoms of Burgundy and Italy are also de jure apart of the Holy Roman Empire in 1066. No more will the empires of Francia or Carpathia be formed shortly into the game.

The original decision to form a new empire requires you to not be Christian or not have a spiritual head of faith. There are two new decisions for spiritualist Christian kingdoms: Form a New Christian Empire and Forge a New Christian Empire.

Forming a new Christian Empire has similar requirements to reforming the Holy Roman Empire. A high opinion of your head of faith or a hook on them is required. However, if an existing Empire of the same faith exists, the decision cannot be taken unless they are excommunicated.

Forging a new empire bypasses these requirements, however any existing Emperors of your faith, along with your head of faith, will have a greatly reduced opinion of you.

This mod is not achievement compatible. The "Custom Kingdoms" game rule must be set to on for the new decisions to appear.
