Tallenberg Mistral F1

Description
[Requires Mega Slopes Pack for the nosecone]

After a few prototypes and experimentations, Tallenberg Industries finally presents its first operational aircraft: the Mistral.

Development began under the name "XF-5". The goal was to develop a somewhat capable multipurpose fighter that could engage ennemy aircrafts, ground targets and ships alike.
Being a rather heavy plane, it uses a thin fuselage made of alloy plates in order to limit the weight of its internals. The Mistral, like all past prototypes and designs of the firm, uses a delta-wing and a single fin for vertical stabilization, without any canard or other lifting surface.

Inside, four jet engines are arranged into a massive one, allowing an initial top speed of above 160m/s.
Later on, the fitting of its armament increased drag and weight, limiting that number to 157m/s.

It carries eight medium missiles and two large ones, giving it a reasonnable firepower.

Although not perfect and quite expensive, the Mistral has shown good results in its various engagements against the Deep Water Guard and the earlier Steel Striders designs, making it the first Tallenberg design to enter active service.
