Description

Description/lore

The Broadsword class, unlike an actual broadsword, was built from the ground up around multirole capability and the ability to easily modify it. This is achieved using a large and varied weapons package. It comes equipped with 4 gatling guns, 2 autocannons, a rocket launcher, and most importantly, a railgun. In addition to all of this, and to compensate for it's large size and large cost per unit, it comes equipped with a tailgun to keep any unwanted attention off your back.

Whilst originally expected to be sold in larger quantities, the large cost per unit makes it less appealing as a mainline fighter, and in large fleets or orginizations, it's usually seen as a specialist craft. On the flip side, it's a favorite for those who plan to make a name for themselves in space combat, along with small militia groups who can't field large fighter squadrons, but still need the capability to outmatch larger groups of enemies.

This ship heavily reminds me of a Star wars Y-wing. More specifically the BTL-B Y-wing fighter/bomber. I like this design much more than my own attempt at one.

If you're building in survival, I wouldn't recommend making the turret to begin with, but if you really want it you're gonna have to do it by hand

What is the easiest way to build the turret when welding the ship from a blueprint? Only the main ship is projected.

perhaps

or attach your camera directly under the rail gun works as well i guess for accuracy ~~

mhm i think the railgun needs to be placed close to the cock pit rather then further when aiming at a distance a deviation of 2 blocks is the difference between hitting a cock pit or missing a cockpit and the gun has a long reload time.

either to the side of your cock pit or under it so the slightest correction is needed whem aiming weapons at 400-1400 meters this could mean a big difference i noticed the same problem in my own designs natural instinct is to aim center mass the smaller the correction the better.

Oh that isn't a tail-fin at the back, that's a gun turret! Neat.
