Invader - Reforged Eden

Description
Built for Reforged Eden 1.6!
Created for XCaliber's February 2022 Design Challenge Combat SV

Type: Indoor-SV (Yes, that absolutely is a thing now!)
28.611 CPU
Size Class: 1 (0,20)
Unlock Level: 20

The Invader is a Micro-SV to fight inside bigger POIs. Preferrably after blasting some big entry-holes with a Tank. Depending on the POI it may also be valid to make your own holes with it (Works fine, e.g. in a Xenu Fortress).

Ammo Storage is basically nothing, but the Modulated Pulse Laser Ammo doesn't take up much space. It does come with some weight hovever, so I recommend not going over 1k cells (which is already much more than you will need anyways).

Low fuel storage and no cargo. Be sure to operate in wifi range of supplies!

2 SV-Blocks height
5 SV-Blocks width
Will fit nicely through any 1x2 Base blocks and still has room to maneuver. Has enough firepower to make holes if there aren't any.

Fighting:
First of all, you brought a SV to a gun fight. You will have fun, your opponent will not.
That said some of the bigger opponent groups can be a danger if you aren't careful so consider the following:
- Ensure you have a big enoug opening to redraw if needed
- Don't fly into the middle of a group, enemies have a tendency to swarm you and you can't hit them when they aren't in front of you.
- If you find yourself stuck, use the guns to blow up some blocks to get room to maneuver
- Give your shields time to recharge if needed.
- The pulse lasers look like they do area damage, but they don't. You have to directly hit your opponents.
- Take your time, doing POIs with this consists of quite a bit of block-shooting.

4 Infrared Small Modulated Pulse Lasers
Med Station
Standard Shield
Landing gear on Back to allow docking

Upgrades:
-You can upgrade the shield to a heavy shield, if you replace a CPU extender with an auxillary core, the generators should be able to support it.
-You can add up to two Turrets on top if you remove the two LCD Projectors there. Ammo capacity may become an issue however, and it will reduce maneuverability in tight spaces. (Then again you can take control of the turret which means you don't have to maneuver as much in the first place)

you can ofc also use plasma. It will do a lot less damage to single target, which means you will take longer ifyou need to work your way through blocks. But it has ae damage, so that will help with clearing opponents. Be aware this build is not updated for 1.8, I have no idea how good this thing works nowadays.

Wow. Never occurred to me to mobilize a Micro SV. Definitely going to check this out. Great idea.

A micro SV to infiltrate enemy bases... what a great idea :-)

Love the pic with the word bubbles. I am wondering why you would have a powerful turret inside a room that all entrances are through a tiny door to enter so no SV or HV should be entering--except those of us using the tiny builds. Almost like they are saying that assaults by tiny vessels really is commonplace in this universe.

Thanks!
@MatCz: I spent way too much time with the first descent game. That really was great for its time. Now as you mention it, the in-cockpit-pictures does remind me of it, too. I wonder whether one could actually do (e.g.) a Mine POI, tailored towards small SVs.

Ente, well done!
Your pictures bring back memories of the game called Descent from mid-90s. :)
