Beskrivning


Adds the race of Xotans. Aliens who are peaceful towards others. They are one of the smarter alien races and are often respected traders and researchers. However, easier, manual tasks bore them. Their higher brain activity requires them to get more sleep.

Xotan Alien Race Stats (compared to humans):

  • NegotiationAbility: 1.2
  • TradePriceImprovement: 1.2
  • SocialImpact: 1.2
  • DrugCookingSpeed: 1.2
  • DrugSynthesisSpeed: 1.2
  • MedicalTendSpeed: 1.2
  • MiningSpeed: 0.7
  • ConstructionSpeed: 0.7
  • SmoothingSpeed: 0.7
  • PlantWorkSpeed: 0.7
  • RestRateMultiplier: 0.8
Additional Changes and Addons:
  • They come with their own outlander faction entirely consisting of Xotans and can also be spotted in other factions. For example as traders or pirates.

  • Besides factions you can also find them in-between your colonists, as wanderers, space refugees or slaves.

  • The mod also includes custom player factions if you want a new colony or tribe with only Xotans and don't want to reroll colonists.
    (you need to select this faction in the scenario editor)

Is this compatible with CE or other mods?
Yes, this mod is compatible with CE but there were no specific compatibilities made for other mods otherwise.

Is this mod safe to add into an existing playthrough?
It should not break anything, but you won't get the faction unless you use a mod that allows you to add factions mid-game. (like Faction Control)

Will there be a biotech version with its own genes?
No, for two reasons. First is that they are aliens, not xenos. Second is that i don't own the biotech dlc and can't make it.

Yea, these were not designed around biotech. If you have specific errors, feel free to post your error log. Maybe some of them can be fixed.

As for removal, your save might still work. Xotan factions should simply disappear and there shouldn't be any more xotan pawns spawning. Make sure you don't have nay xotan colonists or pawns on your map - these might cause more serious errors, but may as well just disappear with no additional errors.

How do I safely remove midgame? I wish they were xenotypes rather than different baseliners because too many spawn now I rarely get any regular baseliners. Also the mod doesnt work toowell with xenotypess I tried to change head and my game broke like its never broken before

I will try to look into the "fully healed" issue, but without a log it makes it much more difficult. If you could post a log and by chance also provide information on how to reproduce the bug, it would be greatly appreciated.

They should be baseliners, because this is not a xenotype mod. They are aliens, they should only have base genes, but different stats.

Having the same issue. I removed all my mods except for H.A.R. and the Cruttun race. Same issue.
started up a test map, used dev to spawn in a Cruttun pawn and had another melee it with a knife. No injuries would bleed, and they can not be tended to unless something was cut off. but even then, it being cut off and needing tending to was not killing them. They also cannot be told to rest at a medical bed, as if they are not injured at all.

I've never shared a log, or dabbled with mods at all until Rimworld. I hope that's what you need.
