Description
The Singularity has been prepared for a travel to the Eye of Europa. Its engines are rusty, and can't work for a long time, and its reactor is slow and not compatible with today's technologies. Its weaponry is scarce and has a lot of dead angles.. But it features a kitchen, a bar, a briefing room, berthing compartments... everything confort a crew would want !

- This submarines requires the NOATUN mod - This submarine, although very big, is very optimized for performance. My potato PC can handle me and my friends playing on it.

Main features

This submarines has been thought for big group of players that want to do some RP. That doesn't mean you actually need 16 people to use it. This submarines mainly features :

  • Dual Engines : The engines overheat, so a mechanic has to swap them between each other from time to time. But you can also activate both when truly needed.
  • "Old" Reactor : By "old", I mean, made to not be compatible with an Auto Reactor.
  • Crappy Oxygen Generator : It works, but you might have to ventilate some rooms sometimes...
  • Safe ballasts : There is a safe ballast mode that allows you to walk through the three ballasts without the fear of drowning, and there is a maintenance mode in each ballast for when there is some ballast flora.
  • External Cargo Bay : This isn't an airlock. Think of it as the trunk of a car. You can open it from the inside or from the outside, but not at the same time. The cabinets allows you to dispatch loot directly from the external cargo bay to the workshop or to the medbay.
  • Working spaces : The medbay and the workshop are very comfortable, and come with a lot of storage space. Each comes with a fabricator (or medfab for the medbay) and a deconstructor. The armory also features a fabricator.
  • Cargo capacity : 2 Cargo bays with one ULD each (20 crates) + 4 crate shelves around the ship (16 crates) so 36 crates total, only 20 if you don't empty the crate shelves.
  • PEARL : A no-maintenance drone, made to explore caves or to help with the looting of wrecks.

This submarine features a very deep power grid, that allows to you to unwire a lot of stuff, but also to rewire it easily. Its main features are :

  • Auto-batteries : The batteries will automatically take over when the reactor doesn't output anything. This system can be turned off.
  • External power : The reactor and the batteries will automatically turn off when the submarine is docked. This system can be turned off.
  • Power relays : Each room has a constant power relay, and a switch-based power relay, to allow fine tuning of the power grid.
  • SCRAM : The captain has a SCRAM for when ♥♥♥♥ hit the fan.
  • Text displays : A lot of available text displays around the sub for you to wire things.

This submarine also features small QoL logic circuitry, such as :

  • Exploration Terminal System : The terminal in the drone control room and the terminal on the drone can communicate with each other, allowing divers to contact the submarine even when out of radio range. Compatible with the NOATUN Remote Terminal Controller.
  • Secured Depth Charges : The depth charge loaders come with a button next to them, that if turned off, will prevent the captain from firing it.

Roleplay features

This submarines comes with a lot of roleplay-related rooms : a medbay with an operating room, berthing compartments, a kitchen-bar, a briefing room, a greenhouse, a holding cell with an auxiliary oxygen generator, captain and officers offices, there is even a small enigma for clowns to resolve !

It also features small roleplay-related logic circuitry, such as :

  • Officers Terminal System : Each officer terminal can communicate with the others. The boatswain also has a button to clear comms.
  • Announcement system : The Captain can send announcements on text displays.
  • Waiting room button : Allow you to call a medic without having to enter the medbay.

@HonkFather Probably not strictly necessary, but the sub will spit an error about missing items.

I have figured out the problem. Said Cabinets had the "hidden in game" checked on, Turning it off will fix the issue :ADNalert:

Both The Mechanical and Medical Fabricators Storage cabinets are somewhat broken. You cant look into them, but whats inside them you can use to craft. You cant put stuff back in as well. Deconstructors do work as intended tho.

Incredibly balanced sub, visually beautiful and a blast with a large crew. I've never played on a sub with so much attention to detail regarding it's weaknesses, which are made in a dynamic way to where they enhance the experience instead of being annoying. Simply amazing.
