Unfortunately, this is the last big level I'm going to be able to post in a while. I plan to continue some smaller levels as I've always done, but larger projects will take too long to reasonably work on.
Life has started getting in the way. College classes have started up again, and this time I'm pursuing a passion of mine in Creative Writing and taking the course pretty seriously. As for my time spent playing Rail Route, I'm starting to do more serious work for the game - e.g. the monthly workshop front-page features and subsequent articles - so my free time is drying up here.
I just don't have as much time to create levels of my own anymore, especially not these large creations which take multiple days to test and a few hours to make well thought-out timetables for.

I'll still be around in the community, of course. On the community discord server, I'll continue giving feedback on levels, providing tips and tricks for endless, giving behind the scenes data and trivia to those who ask, etc.
Speaking of behind the scenes trivia - I'll also be working on a commentated YouTube series in the coming months, playing every timetable level in the game and providing "developer" commentary. I may not be a dev, but I AM the person who made over half the levels and curated the other half, so I'm very much qualified to discuss trivia and the design process behind them, especially considering the actual developers gave me a lot of creative freedom. I also got a new microphone to help isolate my voice and not pick up the heater when it turns on at random intervals, just so this series can have even clearer recordings

This level was inspired by various YouTube videos discussing public transit and especially discussing express services; I thought it could be fun to make a transit level of my own with expresses to spice things up. Also, metro levels often have the major flaw of being too repetitive and bland, just due to the repetitive nature of public transit in the first place; I thought I would try and see if I could make one non-repetitive without pushing it to the limit (cough cough heck off north honk cough), and I think I did an okay job. Of course, others might think this is dull, but I hope it's good enough to engage most players for the full two-hour period.

Once again, thank you to Machzoore for help playtesting the ending of the level! Getting a second set of eyes to help find any problems, and also someone who's fresh to the level and doesn't burn out while playing, is always helpful, and Mach is one of the best people to go to for that, both understanding when it's the level's fault vs the player's fault, and what can be done to fix the problems and/or make things more fair.
