Realistic Cursor

Description
Presentation:

Considering Troy Total War, from the beginning I thought that the cursors are too much cartoonish in there effect, so I tried to work on a version to change them to a more realistic feeling, and realised a version for the common cursors.
It's inspired from a style of head of a spear from the Bronze Age Period.

Here you will find a template with the cursors changed by the mod.

Hope you will like it.


Compatibility:

Should work with everything as long as it doesn't work on the same files.
If you want to use them and/or integrate them into your mod, please do so but please ask me first.


Future update and work planned:

- Work on the rest of the cursors to complete the current template (and improve those already done)
- Work on further interface elements if needed and with some suggestions
- We will see :)

Yeah it's weird as you are the second one with that problem, don't know what causes it. I'm sorry that you had such trouble, because yeah like you stated, the mod is simple enough to work in practically all condition.
Anyway i'm pleased to see you find the solution ! Have fun and hope you enjoy a less arcade feeling for these icons

I renamed the file and put it in my data folder. It seems to work fine from there. I'm not sure whats up with it but at least I get to use your icons now :steamthumbsup:

No luck trying all three fixes. I even tried loading the game with only this mod enabled and it still won't show the new cursors.

I took a peek at the pack file and mod seems simple enough. I'm not sure why I'm not seeing the cursors myself. Does it work for you?

@Levie : Hello, that's a pity. We will fix that together. Let me ask you have you put the mod at the top of the load order ? Secondly can you unsubscribe, delete the files into the corresponding folder on your pc, subscribe again ? Thirdly, sometimes the games corrupted some files, (not due to the mods themself, don't ask me why ^^)... so be sure if the two previous steps don't work, to check the files on steam.

I hope that you would be able to play with my mod.
If not we will, like for Archon Teeps fix that and I will send you the files ;)

I don't know what's going on for you Archon, really... i'm sorry for you because I had that feeling with some mods that i tried hard before i could use them.

Thanks for the reply SkynOs, I've tried different configurations and reinstalls/verify integrity. But so far nothing has worked. I see the Mod folder/file in workshop content for game but it just doesn't seam to be working even with a base game (no agony).

would appreciate if you could send me the files directly, but otherwise no worries. Frustrating but appreciate your support on this.

@Archon Teeps : You have to got something wrong because those are just graphics files.
Concerning those, you have them into two different places : steamapps/workshop/content /{number of your game according to steam}.

There normally you can get the file of the mod into the packfile downloaded... if you can't find it into your data's game folder.

Other than that I will send you the files, but if you have to "override vanilla files" that's not the normal way to do it, and if you verify the integrity of your game next time, it will override again the files.

I'm still having issues SkynOs - I've tried steps 1-3, but still no change. Is it possible to download the raw files themselves which I could then past into troy data UI folder, overriding directly? When I open the workshop folder for the mod and see the mod pack file, there doesn't seem to be any contents. I am a bit of a noob but normally direct paste into data folder should override vanilla files?
