Description
The default armor textures don't look very nice. They are too dark and too high contrast and do not fit into the design of many spaceships. And why is there armor with a camouflage texture for ground vehicles in space? Therefore, many people use hull blocks in the construction of ships, which are more than 3 times worse than armor in terms of strength.

This mod changes the default armor textures to carbon ones. This texture is noticeably lighter and similar to the body blocks, but with a slight change in the form of carbon. You will always be able to distinguish the armor from the hull, while the new armor texture does not worsen the appearance of the ship, but rather improves it.

To make the new textures work anywhere (in an already started game or on an online server) - copy the images from the folder:
C:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\workshop\content\445220\2720469832\data\textures\blocks
In the game folder along the path:
C:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Avorion\data\textures\blocks

Hmm. I think there's only one alternate armor texture I can see in the game -- the digital camo. Bleah. Would love to see this working for the new version if you ever are of a mind!

I didn't know. I'll check it out when I have time. But this mod is of little use anymore. It was released before alternative armor textures were officially added to the game.

Doesn't seem to work... Looking in those files, I see a whole bunch of different armor plate textures and masks. I did follow your instructions in the description -- this is indeed an ongoing game. Is it possible there's something missing?
