I made it for myself because for me the rails were too cheap , making the game too easy.
I put it up in case anyone else felt the same and wanted more challenge.
Use it / Don't use it , up to you bro.
Je ne comprends pas ce mod ?
À moins que c'est à la revente, c'est ça ?
C'est lorsque l'on revend (ou qu'on enlève) les rails qu'ils coûtent 4 fois plus chers, c'est ça ?
Merci pour vos explications.
If you apply it first it should only adjust vanilla track prices.
But I haven't tried for myself.
Right click Transport Fever
Select properties
Select local files
Click browse button.
This will open a folder in your TF installation directory
.\Steam\steamapps\common\Transport Fever
From here go into the mods folder
.\Steam\steamapps\common\Transport Fever\mods
Create a new folder in here for your altered mod e.g. "double rails"
.\Steam\steamapps\common\Transport Fever\mods\double rails
Now find my mod directory
.\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\446800\2708082514
copy files from there to your mod folder
Do NOT copy the workshop_fileid.txt file, you don't need it and it's auto-generated if you publish your mod.
Then you can alter mod.lua in a text editor and strings.lua if you want to alter the descriptions.
look for the line data.cost = data.cost * 4
change the 4 to what you want.
data.maintenanceCost = data.cost / 20
sets up the monthly maintenance cost
Earthworks , tunnels & bridges remain unchanged.
Expect approx 3x increase on flat ground with less penalty on slopes.
5% of the rail cost is paid in maintenance every month.
This works out at about 10% the cost for running trains on a busy network.
