Crafting Relics

Can't figure out how to get a particular skill when crafting Relics? This guide will help you out.

Intro
When you craft an item - the main essence type will determine what skills will be granted by that item.
Total amount of essence will determine the power of the item. Better materials will give more essence.

This guide is designed from the skills point of view.

For each skill you can get from Relics there is a section explaining how to craft a Relic containing that particular skill.



Basic
All "Weapon" grade relics will have this basic attack.


Unfortunately is can be only used in Yellow and Purple challenges and its T-Splash damage will scale with Wisdom and Destiny respectively.


Ambush



Main essence must be one of:
Leather
Wood

Level

Quite useful to slow down enemies if you have no other option.
Can be crafted from low-tier materials - just watch out to keep the main essence right.

Brotherhood of Blood



Main essence must be one of:
Metal
Stone

Level

This is very strange skill that I was never able to use.
You have to have someone wounded to apply the buff.
The only interesting benefit is that when you make it from red essences only (metal + leather) the base attack can be used in Red challenges and it will scale from Perception. Example - Gold Relic.
Corpse Feast



Main essence must be one of:
Gem
Bone

Level

Important note that this will heal ALL allies on the battlefield

This relic can't deal damage in Red challenges so you will have to find another skill to do a killing blow.
Example:
Dinner For Two



Main essence must be one of:
Gem
Bone

Level

Note that the healing will only happen in Red challenges. Those relics will never have an ability to deal damage in Red challenges so you will need to rely on other skills to do a killing blow.
The percentage increases with the materials quality.
Tier-2 materials should be enough to craft this.
Example:

Distract



Main essence must be one of:
Leather
Wood

Level

Can be crafted with Tier-2 materials.
If you use leather and metal you can also make basic attack to work for Red challenges.
Example:
Exploding Dead



Main essence must be one of:
Metal
Stone

Level

This is a passive ability. You need to make a kill with some other skill to trigger this (I haven't tested if any other skill will do or this has to be an attack skill from the same relic).


This one is hard to craft. You will need high tier materials. Examples:


Snare


Easy to obtain passive skill that will damage each opponent who enters battlefield.
Scales with intelligence.

Metal
Stone

The only reason to have this one in comparison to Ice Spike from 2-handed codex is if you have a powerful innate skill on character you place early during the battle.

Can be easily crafted from tier-2 materials. Example - gold Relic:


Sacrificial Blood



Main essence must be one of:
Leather
Wood

This is an interesting one.
It is an instant action that doesn't require a unit to be placed on the battlefield.
It does damages the caster but also damages any one enemy on the battlefield even more.
You need someone with very high health as the damage inflicted to yourself is a certain percentage and the damage is a multiplier from that number.
You need a really beefy character to make it work.
Also remember that the damage ignores shields! That could be a good option if you deal with heavily shielded enemies.
This will require some high-tier materials. Especially because there is no leather or wood slot for the primary material, so you will have to go high-tier hybrids most likely. Example:


Weak Regeneration


There are 3 versions of it depending on the essence.

Level

This is a passive ability which only triggers in corresponding challenges. It doesn't scale and always restore 10% of max HP / Sanity / Faith.
