Description
Summary

Armored Leap is an add-on for Armored Sprint that allows players to improve their Light and Heavy Armor skills by jumping while wearing armor.

Increasing Light Armor results in being able to jump higher whereas improving Heavy Armor allows one to fall further without taking damage.

Jumping now features a minor stamina penalty. This penalty can be offset by the Unhindered and Conditioning perks or can be adjusted and even disabled through the mod's configuration menus.

Compatibility

Armored Leap requires the latest version of Skyrim, SKSE, and Armored Sprint.

It will not be compatible with any other mod that modifies the fJumpHeightMin or fJumpFallHeightMin game settings.

SkyUI's Mod Configuration Menu is supported but not required.

Q & A

Does taking fall damage earn XP?

No. Fall damage ignores armor when being applied.

Why does this mod require SKSE?

Skyrim does not feature a way to alter the player's jump height. SKSE does.

Why does this mod require Armored Sprint?

Armored Sprint features an armor monitor spell that tracks how many pieces of Light and Heavy armor the player is wearing. Armored Leap makes use of this spell to reward XP for jumping.

@TheRealTara

Do you have Armored Sprint installed and loading before this mod? Armored Leap is dependent on it.

This seems to be conflicting with another mod or something, because after I installed it my Skyrim would crash to desktop right after the Bethesda screen. So I unsubscribed and now it no longer crashes. I'm not sure what mod it would conflict with. I do have both DLC packs. (Legendary Edition.)

Drain's Stamina eh? I'm suddenly liking this.

@Sabre Wolf

XP earned from jumping is very minor and adjustable. Jumping also drains your stamina now.

I guess that was like Morrowind though :\

Can't you just repeditively jump until your max level?
