Report a translation problem
Another thing you can try is testing the sound clip using the debug console. If you type "playsfx 598" into the console, it will play whichever sound is mapped to the first audio clip of the argument. The argument clips are ID'd as 598, 599, 600, and 601 if you would like to test them all. You can use this to see if your modded audio plays or if it still plays the default.
Which mod did you use before? I'd also like to look at it so I can cross reference and hopefully get you a better answer.
