Description
Spiff's Practical Engineered Solutions, a division of the Weyland-Yutani Corporation, presents the C-6 'Oso' Colonizer, a vanilla small-grid design without mods or DLC, and contains no rotors or pistons making it a perfect survival-ready solution for interplanetary colonizing and/or heavy cargo transport to or from planets. Fitted with 1 medium and 6 large cargo containers, the C-6 is designed to carry incredibly large quantities of parts, ore, and/or ingots to or from a planet's surface. In fact, the C-6 has been successfully tested on all planets carrying a full load of iron ingots! Its 14 large atmospheric lift thrusters signficantly reduce hydrogen consumption when operating within a planet's gravity well. Power is provided by 4 large batteries and 2 large reactors, with 2 hydrogen engines for backup power and battery charging. Its 4 large hydrogen tanks are replenished by 5 O2/H2 generators, and a survival kit is included for life support.

Designed for hostile environments, C-6 has 4 top-mounted gatling turrets and 1 bottom-mounted gatling turret near the rear, and two deployable decoys are available for escaping enemies. To further enhance survivability, an integrated top-mounted projector will project a tunneling attachment that can be built for establishing underground or inter-asteroid facilities. Its 4 undermounted "guide" suspensions need only have wheels added to make the tunneler follow a designated path of large-grid armor guide blocks (or scaffoldings). More information for tunneling is provided below.

NO MODS, NO DLC, NO ROTORS/PISTONS; SURVIVAL READY AND PROJECTOR BUILDABLE!

NOTES FOR BUILDING WITH A PROJECTOR IN SURVIVAL
(See the last picture for the projector's configuration.)
1. Build a rotor frame on a powered grid; remove the large-grid rotor head and replace with a small-grid rotor head and lock rotation.
2. Stack 3 armor blocks, minimum, vertically atop the small-grid rotor head to provide sufficient clearance for building the miner.
3. Build a small-grid projector on top of the topmost armor block; for consistency, rename the projector to be "C6 - Projector".
4. Load the blueprint into the projector; click on the setting to retain the blueprint after construction is complete.
5. Build the blueprint.
6. When completed, grind away the small-grid rotor head, armor blocks, and rotor frame, leaving the projector in place for future repairs.

NOTES FOR TUNNELING IN SURVIVAL
(See the pictures for a visual representation of the process.)
1. The tunneling attachment projector is turned off; turn it on to display the tunneling attachment projection.
2. Build the tunneling attachment.
3. Enter the ship's cockpit and go to the third cockpit menu, or depress {Ctrl}-{3}. Depress {3} to add wheels to the 4 guide suspensions.
4. Build the 4 wheels.
5. Build a large-grid armor block guide rail for tunneling; the actual floor of the tunnel will be one block lower.
6. Align the ship over the armor block guide rail until all four guide wheels engage the rail.
7. Depress {1} to select drills, right-click your mouse to clear, and slowly move the ship forward to clear the tunnel.
8. When completed, grind away the tunneling attachment and 4 guide wheels; turn off the tunneling attachment projector.

NOTES FOR ASCENDING TO SPACE WITH A FULL LOAD
1. Enter the ship's cockpit and go to the second cockpit menu, or depress {Ctrl}-{2}.
2. Depress {9} to increase thrust override for the large hydrogen lift thrusters; keep depressing {9} until they reach maximum override.
3. Depress {4}, {5}, {6}, and {7} to turn on all thrusters.
4. Depress {2} or {3} to switch lock on the landing gear or bottom connector, respectively. Hit the "UP" key to start ascending.
5. Continue to hit the "UP" key until power consumption has dropped to a very low value and you've reached maximum velocity.
6. Release the "UP" key; the velocity should remain at maximum. If not, hit the "UP" key for a short time and check again.
7. Once the ship is moving upward at maximum velocity without the "UP" key being depressed, depress {8} to start reducing thrust override to the large hydrogen lift thrusters. Continue to reduce thruster override using the {8} key as the altitude increases.
8. When outside the planet's gravity well, depress {8} until thruster override is disabled; the ship will slow to a stop.
9. Depress {7} to turn off the large hydrogen lift thrusters.
