Various tweaks, fixing, adjusting, whatever. I was just tired of using so many individual mods doing single small tasks.

All options are disabled by default, so make sure to go in and set it up how you want it first!

Tabula Rasa is a soft dependency now, you can use this without it, but it's heavily recommended so you can easily know when new tweaks are added.

Combat Extended isn't supported, compatibility with it is not tracked by me and I won't be helping with any issues when using it. I don't even care enough to track what breaks and what doesn't, any related comments will just be deleted.

Incompatible with specific tweaks:
Luckily most incompatible mods are only incompatible with specific tweaks, this'll tell you which ones are known.
  • Save Our Ship 2 - The "No Breakdowns" option in this will be disabled completely if SOS2 is loaded, it won't even show as an option, this is because SOS2 has issues with the removal of them.
  • Simple Sidearms - Results in hunters using ranged instead of melee with the tweak "Hunters Can Use Melee".
  • Vanilla Ideology Expanded - Memes and Structures - Incompatible with the "No Meme Limit" tweak, use the built in option in that mod instead.
  • Vanilla Ideology Expanded - Anima Theme - Some Gauranlen tree tweaks work and some don't, I'll work on fixing the ones that don't eventually but when a mod is overhauling a part of the game like that it's not something you should expect to be compatible.
  • Need Bar Overflow - Incompatible with the "Don't Pack Food" tweak.

Compatible-ish:
  • Common Sense - Load this AFTER Common Sense if you want the "Colonists Don't Carry Food" option to function.

It should be obvious that any tweaks this covers will conflict with a standalone mod doing the same thing if both are enabled, my own mods included, like Ancient Demolition and Mechanerf.

Include a HugsLib log using Ctrl+F12 in-game with any bug report, regardless of if you see an error, it's used for more and some of you don't seem to get that there's errors that you may not see anyway!

No log, no help, I usually can't help without one!

If it fails to upload, untick Use Recommended Settings and copy to clipboard, you can then paste here https://pastebin.com/ to link to. There's never a reason to not include a log.

Known Issues
These are issues that cannot be solved, likely inherent to the tweak itself, or are just an issue I do not have the time to solve right now.
  • Stackable Chunks - Will often cause issues if you enable or disable it mid-save. Unavoidable.
  • No Friend Shaped Manhunters - Should be clear why but it'll disable the Royalty quest where a noble flees an obviously harmless manhunter animal, manhunters this tweak makes impossible by default.
  • Trait Count - Currently doesn't work on 1.5 (1.4 it only worked for increasing over vanilla), unsure why.

  • But why?
I dunno about you lot but I prefer a single mod handling this stuff with toggles over 78 individual ones...
  • Can you add [insert tweak here]?
Probably already on the list considering my "to-do" list is now 450ish tweaks long. I'll literally never reach the end of that so it's clearly not likely I'm going to get to it.
  • Change this thing from another mod now!
For removals use Cherry Picker, I see no reason to remake the wheel there. I have recently started adding tweaks for other mods, including some of my own, however there's too many potential tweaks to take requests on this.
  • How long did this take to make?
If I go on actual time put into it, 3-4 hours, maybe less. But this has been built up over months of just throwing in tweaks I wanted that either didn't exist or were just one small mod making my mod list look way longer than it is. Work since release adding more tweaks? I've lost count.

Don’t know specifics, only going on multiple vague user reports since I don’t change things mid save myself.

what issues happen when changing the stackable chunk setting mid save?

Then you have something else handling it, this won’t fix a bug caused by something else.

I downloaded this in order to fix the bug where colonists shove dozens of meals into their pockets and they're still doing it.

Hey it seems the setting to show the genes tab, also disables opening the genes windows of pregnant pawns, so I can't see the genes of the offspring. Disabling that setting re-enables the window

The "lag free torches" setting sadly dosent work with Medieval Overhaul. i tested with and without LWM's Fuel Filter and it didn't work either time. im not getting any errors about it tho. do you have any ideas on how i could fix this?

Oh my god, why did I only discover this recently? WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL MY LIFE

That’s interesting, thanks that’s a lot of clear information! I’ll take a look into it and see what’s happening there, I suspect it’s some form of remnant data not fully changing properly but I’ll have to look when I get a chance to be sure.

Sorry to clog the comment section, but subscribing to Tabula Rasa resolved the deep water problem. The issue seemed to come back after re-enabling the tweaks I wanted without restarting, but became solved again after I actually restarted the game. Hopefully something I said in any of this was useful.

(I started a new run without changing anything to test further. Among the tweaks I previously had enabled were Don't Generate Relations and Impassable Deep Water. In this test, with all tweaks now disabled, the starting colonists generated with relationships but cannot path into deep water.)
