If you like me have your game freeze alot and tried everything to fix it like Updating your GPU and optimizing your card setting and still experience lag, then maybe this will help.

For some reason Final Fantasy 4 has an issue with having multiple controllers pluged in or using multiple controller options.

Steam → Settings → Controller → General Controller Settings

Only Enable the settings for the controller your using.

Hope this helps as i did for me.
