Honda Odyssey 2015 Minivan

Description
Context:

This minivan is heavily modeled after the Honda Odyssey made in 2015 and I have replicated most features of this automobile. I used this model because I am well aquainted with it in real life and I thought it would be fun to make it here in Stormworks.



Changelog:

January 3 2022: Added Remote Control in the back to control the rear door remotely

Startup:

To startup this car, you do the same process as you would with the real car:
  • Grab the key (electric connector) on the left side of the car and attach it to the connector on the car, then turn the key to unlock the car. Keep the key on the outside when driving, it won't fall off

  • Take off Parking Brake with the key on the tray to your right

  • To start the engine, hold down brake and push the starter button to the right of the wheel.

  • Then let go of the starter button and the brake and you are good to drive, if your engine ever stalls, it will automatically start again.

  • To stop the engine, repeat the above step and the engine will turn off

Features:

Features the real car does have that the Stormworks build doesn't have:

  • Engine hood does not open
  • No horn
  • Real car has more gears
  • Does not have sliding doors

  • Backup Battery in case of main battery dying
  • Repairing equipment



Credits and Upcoming Projects:

This minivan will still get occasional updates as others and I find problems or cool features to add. Once I decide to retire this minivan I will update this post and indicate so. Please comment any problems or possible features and I will take a look at them.

If this creation gets 1000 subs or the top of the workshop then I will add 2 of the following features of popular choice in the comments:

  • Sliding Doors (?)
  • Opening Hood
  • Variable Cruise Control
  • Music system
    [*[Window wipers
  • More gears if people have problems with transmissions
  • More options will arise as I think of more

I will for sure be adding these features in the coming month:
  • Improve window detail and make the front seats buttons and gauges more viewable
  • Remote control to lock and unlock car, as well as control the trunk
  • Making Stormlink compatible

Lol thanks, the weight of the car helps it not drift too out of control. The back window is there, it is just decoration, I couldn't put an actual window because the door is made of wedges and windows are not wedges sadly, there are windows in the back seats so i am not sure why you can't find those.

oh ok, i thought you were talking about using a remote control as an audio device too, I can definetly make that then :steamthumbsup:

I was talking of using the handheld radio as an remote, when you for example send a signal to a channel, that channel will unlock the doors or trunk or turn on lights, something like that

I was actually thinking about having a remote control unit control the locking system and controlling the trunk door and I will definetly work on it again, however can you clarify what you mean when using it as a radio?

I also i am going to make some suggestions, you could use the radio as a remote control, when used to talk you could use it as an remote lock and unlock, you can see the example in a creation called modern pickup, you can take alot of inspiration from that creation.
