Description
The Neptune
This is the first submarine I've decided to publish. I really wanted to make use of the figurehead I made a while back and I think it really adds to the aesthetics of this ship.
Disclaimer: Mad thanks to Crazy Ivan for his help adding the lightning to the trident as well as making the naval mines. You truly live up to the name.

History
The ENC Neptune is one of the Europan Naval Commission's first attempts at solving what is often called "The Monster Problem." The sheer amount of hostile megafauna made any attempts for settlement and expansion nigh impossible, which is why several attempts were made to create submarines capable of tackling and dispatching of them. Among these early submarines only the Neptune truly stood out as being successful.

It boasted high firepower for it's era and speed to boot, which earned it much recognition among navymen. Though it was noted that it's smaller ballasts weakened it's descent and ascent speed. When the Neptune was beginning to be phased out for more modern anti-creature submarines, many were repurposed to tackle the growing issue of piracy. This included the addition of a boarding shuttle and expanded armory. And it was quite successful in this regard, usually able to simply outgun most pirate vessels.

Though this would come to an end eventually to as specialized craft were developed. When the last Neptune was taken off of active deployment the ENC rebuilt ten of these vessels into what would be called the "Anniversary Model." This featured a figurehead in the likeness of it's namesake.

Armaments
Coilguns - Coilguns are mounted to the bow and belly, as well another at the gunnery tower on the aft side of the vessel. In most models these have been replaced with chainguns. Though for the sake of heritage, these weapons are installed an the Anniversary Model.
Rail Gun - A rail gun is installed on the topside docking compartment.
Discharge Coils - The vessel is equipped with Electrical Discharge Coils on it's blind spots for dealing with small hostile lifeforms.
Tesla Cannon - One of the earlier additions to the Neptune is a Tesla Cannon that can momentarily stun targets off the less armed bow side of the vessel. In the Anniversary Model this feature is concealed within the trident of the figurehead.
Naval Mines - Naval Mines are one of the key components of the Neptune. These remote controlled explosives can be equipped with a variety of explosives. It is standard for the Neptune to be equipped with 5, though some models feature 6.
Additional Hardpoint - There is an additional hardpoint for the installation of a new weapon on the lower bow of the vessel.

Features
Shuttle - The Neptune is equipped with a boarding shuttle. It's features are toggled on with a battery-mounted switch. It will idly recharge while docked. Using the levers marked "Breach" will fire the breaching lasers which will cut through an enemy vessel.
Trash Disposal - To rid yourself of excess crates and rubbish, drop them off at Trash Disposal. One button press and your trash is gone. The disposal is designed for safety and should eject those who would try to get inside.
Backup Battery - With a button press from the reactor room or command, the backup power will be enabled. It is strong enough to keep all of the ship's functions running, but only for a single minute at most. You will know that the backup power is online if the green bulbs are lit.
Shower - Press a button to wash of blood or grime from a hard day of hunting monsters and pirates.
Stun Coil - To stun or pacify prisoners, employ the stun coil next to the brig.
Multiple Status Screens - To help engineers, there is a status screen in command, the reactor room, and gunnery.
