[OUTDATED] SAAP mC-FI Mini Deployable ROV

In 1 collection by 454SS
Oceanic Marine Underwater Agency (OMUA) Collection (By 454SS)
99 items
Description
The intent of this creation is for you to place it within you vessel, by loading and moving the various parts. Please give credit to me.

BACKGROUND
The smaller sibling to the SAAP C-FI, the mC-FI (Mini Sea-Fi(nder)) is a mini tethered ROV with the same capabilities as its larger sibling. Developed by (fictional) Swedish manufacturer, SAAP, the mC-FI took only 3 months to develop, after the larger C-FI took over 4 years. Working closely with OMUA (Oceanic Marine Underwater Agency), a (fictional) multinational marine and research agency, SAAP custom developed the mC-FI for their underwater exploration. Powered by the tethered connection from a base of operation vessel, the mC-FI can explore the sea depths, retrieve lost treasures and capture video footage of lost ship wrecks. The mC-FI is used on all flagship OMUA vessels as a standard, because for its size and functionality. You can find it on the RSV Vai , R.S.V. Avala, and R.S.V. Aiea.

SPECIFICATIONS
  • Length: 1.75m / 5.5'
  • Cost: $6,000 (w/out winch and control centre)
  • Power: Tethered connection
  • Drivetrain: 1 x small propellers
  • Mass: 130 lbs (w/out winch and control centre)

FEATURES
  • 2 x mag-alls
  • Controllable camera
  • Depth and distance to surface sensors
  • Tilt display using artificial horizon
  • Major physics optimisation and physics flooders to reduce lag
  • No modded blocks
  • Tested online

INSTRUCTIONS
Turn on the start key in the control centre. The instructions are listed on the seat hotkeys. Place ROV setup in vessel of your choosing by copying the parts into it. Give credit to me if using it in a creation.

TIPS
  • The ROV is sensitive but with some practice can be used for treasure recovery
  • The ROV is intentionally negatively buoyant, and will slowly sink to the bottom

Hello again.
Could you check, please, the ROV´s controls? I can´t make them work properly, Throttle sticks full forward or back, reset throttle don´t keep it at 0, attitude controls seem to be unresponsive and/or erratic...
Or maybe give me some advice to make them work?
Thank you very much.

An amazing creation, congratulations for that great job.
Could you upgrade it to use the new mounted welder and end-effector parts? You know: a mag-all, a welder and an effector. I´m totally noob with composite, logic and MC´s stuff.

@CatWithABat Hi! Yup, you can totally use it in a cool research station! Just make sure to provide credit and we are all good!
