Sand, stones and storms...

Qualdin's Spark is a complete particle overhaul for Sandking's abilities, created for the Qualdin's Ambassador set in collaboration with Crowntail, Yakonusuke and Skulz. Following the style of its corresponding item set, this overhaul aims at giving Sand King a darker, more vicious appearance. As particles should be viewed in motion I recommend to watch the video.



Burrow Strike: The Burrow Strike of Qualdin's Spark is darker and features sharper spikes than the default effect. Follwoing the less sandy theme of the overhaul, this version focusses on the actual process of splitting the earth.


Sand Storm: Sand King's sandstorm was recreated from scratch to achieve a look closer to the appearance of desert storms. The effect is now significantly darker, maintaining transparency through several layers of particles. Rocks of varying size are twisting in the storm in a manner similar to objects being picked up by tornados.


Caustic Finale: Instead of exploding in a cloud of blood the caustic finale of Qualdin's spark aims for an effect befitting a king of the desert: His victims now perish in a cloud of dust and stones.


Epicenter: The cast effect of epicenter focusses on more massive blows to the ground, casting rocks and dust into air with every strike. The epicenter effect itself casts dark clouds of sands similar to the sandstorm and caustic finale.
