The "Ulysses" class light cruiser has been in service for eight years under the command of the Europa Coalition and by now has proven to be a formidable escort and border defense vessel. It has served in the Great Sea and Aphotic Plateau, some times even in the Great Void, taking part in rescue missions. It has sunk a total of 562 enemy submarines during the Coalition's war for domination of Europa's southern hemisphere against the Jovian Separatists and several smaller pirate factions that tried to take advantage of the chaotic situation.
The war has now ended with a total of 13,500 casualties on both sides, although many estimate the number to even be as high as 30,000 since many bodies weren't recovered and new shipwrecks are being found to this day.

Congratulations, you are now the captain of the "Teide", the 42º submarine built out of the the 150 that were originally built, be sure to bring her back in one piece. The whole line of submarines was built exclusively by a private company named "Astillero Hispano", which has been building submarines for the coalition since it stablished itself as the government of Europa.
