[Eve Online] Maelstrom Battleship

This is a re-creation of the Maelstrom Battleship from Eve Online.

The Maelstrom has been a mainstay of nullsec alliance fleet operations since its introduction in 2008. While sporting neither the highest-DPS nor the strongest tank, its main feature is its brutal broadside; the highest single-volley damage of any sub-capital ship in Eve. This strong "alpha strike" enables even relatively small flotillas of Maelstroms to blast targets to scrap before friendly ships can apply any kind of shield or armor repairs.

Making this ship was a challenge. 14000 blocks were required, many in order to faithfully represent the rather annoying angles that appear at the armored prow. It's probably a bit overdone. Even at 2x Eve scale, the 16 main turret hardpoints on the side batteries had to be enlarged to fit. A large hangar is nestled behind.

The distinctive solar panel "wings" might prove to be a fragile pain to deal with in this game, so feel free to mod them out or just replace with glass. The Minmatar Republic Fleet command might be annoyed at this violation of their protocols, but what are they gonna do? Invade this galaxy? Fat chance.

As always, the Internal space is fully filled; reconfigure as necessary.
