Gate Travel Priority

Description
Inverts Avorion's priority for player-issued travel commands via the map, placing emphasis on gates and wormholes instead of hyperspace jumps.

When enchaining jump orders on the map, ships will prioritize gate and wormhole connections - if the ship is in a system with known gate connections, enchaining jump commands to those gate connection targets will order the ship to fly through the gates to them instead. This even works for wormholes with very distant connections, though panning across the map to enchain them may cause substantial annoyance.

Work for me. Thank you!

It doesn't appear to be working as of 2/12/2025.

Ships will prefer to jump within their range and will only use gates if the destination is both outside of their jump range and has a gate connected to the system they're currently in.

Is this still up to date? :)

Nvm. I only have 90 hours in Avorion and JUST learned how to enchain commands properly. Thought that to move a ship system to system on autopilot you need a captain.

Is there a possibility that instead of covering 2 hyperspace jumps worth of distance by using own hyperdrive, the ship will instead take a zig-zag path of 1 sector long gates, extending eta to several minutes more? I don't know for certain, but I think that's what's happening to me. Maybe you can make an option to turn it on\off in the travel menu? Or automatically choose between the two, depending on minimal time available. Or am I just seeing things?
