Celebrate the 70th anniversary of Operation Overlord, the D-day landings, by downloading this recreation of the famous landings which took place In Normandy on the 6th of June 1944. A combined force of over two million British, American, Canadian, Free French, Polish, Australian, New Zealand and south African soldiers as well as numerous other nationalities landed on Sword, Juno, Gold, Utah and Omaha beach, and assaulted tyhe Wehrmacht positions in intense fighting. Commandos moved ahead of the invasion force and seized key installations, while engineers cleared mines from the beaches to allow tanks to land and marksmen covered landing forces. I'm sure some miners were there too.
