I've spent about a month and a half trying to make swamp fever suck less.
I think i managed, kinda. Takes about half an hour to finish it, now that water slow down is gone.
It uses the original skybox and color corrections. Making those mods still compatible.


Overall changes:
  • All water is replaced with mud, which does not slow you down.
  • The only bits of water that are left behind are more translucent, allowing you to see some fishies. (Stream in C3M1, pond in C3M4 and the water in the escape)
  • Swamp areas do not have any items unless the location was inhabited by humans
  • All items are found on shelves, tables, ect. No more random items on the floor next to a table.
  • Various relatively small visual changes and prop fixes.
  • All Saferoom doors are wooden doors. Seems better fitting for the swamp.
  • No witches spawn in deep mud, because you could not see them when they sit in it.

Plankcountry:
  • Start location is inside the store, as opposed to the traincar.
  • Moved Crashed helicopter, modified model to use the "Dark Carnival" chopper VTF. Is skin compatible with mods that change the VTF of the Concert Chopper.
  • Witches can only spawn on top of the catwalk.
  • One path past the "No Entry" bridge is always closed off, as it would be too easy to just make a B-line for the saferoom.
  • Culvert Pipe saferoom got a new model.
  • Survival location unchanged, next to item spawns.
  • Scavenge location unchanged.

Swamp:
  • Parachutists dangle around.
  • Parachutist Fallen Survivors will spawn carrying a random weapon or a gascan, along with their default items.
  • Plane Emergency Exit has no alarm. Because that just does not exist in real life. (Neither does the explosive removal of the door, but we need a reason for a panic event.)

Shantytown:
  • Some more lamps because they're nice.
  • The GOD AWFUL bridge closes in a second.
  • Spawns two more tanks if you camp after the bridge event for too long. Stop asking about this, it's not a bug.
  • Survival section is moved into Town. Because that's where I would want to play.

Plantation:
  • Plantation house is Vandalized and in greater state of disrepair.
  • Swapped roof decorations to closer resemble concept art.
  • Cut a second hole into the roof to allow CI to enter.
  • Added five new rooms. Two of which are only for the Infected to enter.
  • Changed item Spawn locations. Four of the five locations are inside the plantation house.
  • Removed stationary gun because it was just too easy with it present. Nevermind that a run down wreck of a house would not have military equipment.
  • Navmesh has been modified so infected will spawn all around the Building.
  • Added infected ladders inside the building to allow Infected to move easier.

Well the bridge event works as follows:
One horde, then one tank. Followed by three hordes in a row and two tanks.
You should be fighting through the three hordes before the next two tanks even show up.
Being able to close the doors while the tanks are trying to get ya.

But if you would be too slow, there would be one more horde as a buffer after all of that.
However, if you are still sticking around, trying to "wait out" the whole event like all the "solo expert" players out there that just camp in one spot, you'd get four tanks ripping you a new one.

I like to edit the campaigns in a way that fixes god spots and exploits by either waiting things out forever and ever, or skipping things.
Should've seen my Hard Rain edit. The elevator on map2 can be skipped, but you can not finish the campaign if you do so. Got people crying about that one :V

Okay so... Map is good and i like it, but i discovered few small issues. In script files you want to change limit of grabbers but write it wrong. You write "dominatorlinit" while it must be "DominatorLimit". Also there is a car near travel trailer on map 3 and it is not solid while glass is solid. Oh and my friend said that it looks like there was too much specials. I think there are not alot of them, but maybe there is forced spawns in map itself? Just interested :P

Keeps crashing during the Plantation, I thought it had something to do with optimization but no.
