Ok, this might still work but since it hasn't been in a while, I'm sure @sanshl 's suggestion hasn't been considered yet.

ay btw, i suggest making it so crying and 'ooooh' also wont trigger it, it makes it look weird

Thanks, I'll have to check in bit. But yeah, it was on a fresh laptop with an untouched folder for the game. I uninstalled everything and booted it up, no problem. Installed just this mod and it kept crashing. Installed all my mods without this mod, ran fine. Not sure why, but I'll try to get my hands on that log. Thanks!

It works perfectly fine on my end, so without a log from a session where the issue happens I can't fix anything.

You can find the log by opening your installation folder and navigating to ./storage/starbound.log
Use a site like pastebin.com to post it, as Steam doesn't like you posting them directly.

Odd, I need a log to debug the issue.

Also is the issue only for just this addon or the entirety of Player Voice?

As of the date and time of this comment, this mod crashes my game upon opening. I un-subbed from all 140+ plus mods that I have and determined this is the only one that is causing the crash. I am writing this just in case anyone else seems to have this problem. Hopefully my comment helps you to determine this a lot sooner then I managed to!

Actually it isn't, they're considered as different frames and can be tracked individually, it just happens that the default frames file for emotes tells SB to render the shouting frames instead.
Same goes with sleeping, it doesn't have its own emote sprite, it reuses one of the blinking ones.

Oh yea, I getcha where you're coming from. Indeed the blinking sound is distracting, but besides the two, maybe the eating but that's linked to the yelling.

Yeah, sleeping & blinking are the 2 emotes that I'm probably going to remove from its list.
Mostly added them in while I was testing how usable/annoying this addon would be since the mod that was linked on PV's comments also used them in chat.

Right off the bat, the blinking plays the player voice which is quite weird. I think it should be silent along with sleeping. Otherwise, I'm liking this mod already c:
