Description
SBS (SeaBoss Systems) TEMPEST Nuclear Powerplant - Mk.I

SECURITY CODE FOR ANY PANELS: 5468

The heart of the FENRIS Nuclear Attack Submarine the TEMPEST Powerplant is capable of generating up to 10,925 Swatts of power. The TEMPEST includes a MAINTENANCE MODE which allows you to access the Core and extract the Fuel Rod Package.

Please feel free to use and modify in your own creations. All necessary controls are contained internal to the Reactor room. Anything external (ex. screens, plugs, stairs, etc.) can be removed or rerouted as you see fit.

UPDATE:
- Added a "BIG RED BUTTON" in the ceiling near the main control panel. When pressed it sets ROD INSERTION to 0 allowing for a meltdown when the reactor is started.

Hi xanon2410. I haven't played the game in some time and have no plans on returning. When the TEMPEST was originally built there was a completely different steam system in place. Many items changed and in particular boiler management. They actually even changed the input and output nodes on various components and didn't maintain backwards compatibility. In particular the fluid updates that came with the Space DLC were a disaster.

The TEMPEST was built for a "different time" that has now been blown out of the water... Much like many parts of this game. If you want to take it over, fix it and repost it please feel free.

The Reactor is very well made, but there seems to be a small mistake. the boiler fluid volume is connected to the input thats supposed to be connected to the boiler pressure. So in the 2 CONTROLLER - SB/PORT - Steam Production microcontroller you just need to use the pipe pressure as the boiler pressure. The changeable fuel rods are incredible!

Is this system still working as intended with the latest fluid/gasses update?

Hi icebreaker2.0. Previously there was safety measures that prevented any meltdowns. I just added a BIG RED BUTTON in the ceiling above the main control panel (near the two lights) that when pressed will stop rod insertion resulting in a run away nuclear reaction when started. Meltdown will ensue, the reactor access door will blow open... etc.

Hi Thomas, the connector are already there and labelled. There are breakers you can attach your lines to right beneath the main control panels.
