Stalingrad Winter

Description
By November 1942, German forces had captured all but a few pockets of what remained of Stalingrad. These small areas on the shores of the Volga were defended at great cost by the Soviet forces under Chuikov.

Vasily Grossman, in the city with the defenders had this to say; ‘There is only one worthy way in which our Red Army can honor the sacred memory of the men who bore the brunt of the enemy's main attack - and that is by an unlimited, liberating offensive. We believe that the hour of this offensive is at hand’.

Those brave defenders in Stalingrad ultimately proved to be the hinge on which the entire fortunes of the war would pivot.

Note: Position 1 is for Axis, Position 2 is for Allies.

Its a good map, but it lacks Winter conditions and the troops for some reason wear Summer clothing and not Winter clothing and as a result it looks out of place. Can this be fixed?

it would be more fun if you could be able to turn of veichles in the game so it only infantry vs infantry :D dunno if that options exist

The Pop Cap of 100 actually works for this map. It seriously limits armor, which it SHOULD be limited for a Russian winter map in Stalingrad. Had to foucus primarily on infantry, the more versatile the better. But the fight was good and the map is a lot of fun. Perfect amount of rubble and open streets. The discarded weapons laying about were game changers at times.

So yea, I dig this map and like the low Pop Cap.
