Compression Ciphers

Contains a number of cipher modules (modeled after Sean’s colored cipher module pack) based around data compression algorithms:
• Huffman encoding: an entropy encoding using binary trees
• Lempel-Ziv encoding: a dictionary-based repetition finder, used in early zip file formats
• Arithmetic encoding: an entropy encoding with ideal Shannon entropy assuming constant symbol frequencies
• Pokémon sprite encoding: a form of run-length encoding that was used in the first Nintendo Game Boy Pokémon game
