Includes the new achievements being added in September 2022 and any future ones. Also includes accessibility tips to make the achievements even easier than before.

Most achievements will be listed separately but others may be grouped together.

~Accessibility Notes
In a post launch update Arkane Studios added accessibility options in the games settings. These only apply when playing in singleplayer mode.

These settings allow you to change number of reprises, toggle single hit kills on enemies etc. These settings do not disable achievements from my limited testing so feel free to use these if you want to make the achievement hunting experience quicker/easier than it already was.

Not all changes may be good for all achievements so experiment around for what your looking for.
~Golden Loop Content Update Achievements
-Best of Both Worlds: "Use the experimental machine in Karl's Bay to craft a doubly-powerful trinket."
In Karl's Bay there is a machine near the entrance tunnels inside a building (see screenshot). Activating the machine will spawn enemies with pillars of light above them. Kill these enemies and suck up their residuum with the machine tube in the building near the machine and then deposit the residuum in the machine.

The enemies are only there to harvest for four minutes (although you can also collect residuum from the static sources too). You only need to fill the gauge up to the yellow section. The more you fill the better the trinket but that isn't required for the achievement. Collect the orange trinket that is made for the achievement.


-Out Like a Light: "Acquire the HALPS Prototype and disintegrate a Visionary."
The HALPS Prototype is a new weapon found in The Complex at any time except Evening. It is found near Wenjie's lab in a building attached (green one).

To acquire it, do not hack any sensors in the room and pull the two levers either side of the case holding the weapon. Leave the room or the lasers will kill you. You need to make guide the lasers onto the machine/battery station looking thing next to the case (they track the player). This will unlock the case, collect the weapon after the lasers go out.

Use the weapon to kill any of the Visionaries (targets). I find Charlie easiest so I killed him with it. This part is up to you.

Wenjie can also be carrying it during the Evening when she attends the party. You can kill her and pick it up to then kill either Igor or Aleksis. She may not always be using this weapon at the party.

-Postmodern Abstractionism: "Kill an Eternalist with a Paint Bomb."
Paint bombs are dropped by a new enemy type (they have colourful paint bombs strapped to them and will run at you to explode). They only drop the bombs when stealth killed by shooting them in the head. Once you have a paint bomb throw it near an enemy and shoot the bomb to make it explode and kill the person.

-Garbage Day!: "Kill the Garbage Collector and acquire the Fugue slab."
Karl's Bay - Evening is a new note on the complex door facing the ocean to the right of the tunnel entrance (see screenshots) where you enter the level. You can head into the new underground complex in Karl's Bay during the Afternoon (heading in the Afternoon means you can access the tunnels straightaway).

Inside is the 'Garbage Collector'. He is a heavily armoured enemy. Killing him will drop the Fugue slab and collecting this will unlock the achievement.
~Slab Related Achievements
For all the Slab achievements it is recommended to make use of the 'Juiced Up' trinket as that gives you 4 slots of power.

-Forever Yours: "Infuse a Slab."
After obtaining a Slab other than Reprise, use Residuum to infuse it in your loadout.

-Spare No Expense: "While playing as Colt, own all upgrades for a Slab."
Unlocked by collecting all upgrades for a Slab. You can upgrade Slabs by killing the Visionary who had that Slab repeatedly. Julianna also drops Slabs you can use to upgrade but they are random each time.
You need to kill a Visionary a total of 5 times!

-Don't Mind Me: "While using Aether as Colt, kill 3 enemies without alerting nearby enemies."
Aether can be acquired by killing Egor and looting his Slab. You only need the base slab, no upgrades required. For this achievement, you only need to stealth kill 3 enemies without being detected in a level while using Aether. It doesn't need to be a single use of the power, just don't get detected between kills.

-Blink of an Eye: "As Colt, transport an enemy onto a mine using Shift."
This one is slightly more involved. You need the Shift Slab from killing Charlie and then the 'Swapper' Upgrade. Then use the grenade tool and set it to proximity charge and place it near an enemy. Stand on the mine and use Shift to swap places with the enemy and the achievement is yours.

-Death Is In The Air: "As Colt, achieve 3 airborne headshots on enemies you’ve launched using Karnesis."
You unlock Karnesis from killing Aleksis (Updaam - Evening). It is recommended to get the 'Suspension' upgrade for Karnesis first because that holds enemies mid air for a while. Headshot 3 airborne enemies and this achievement is yours. Must be done in a single level.

-Fwd: Fwd: Fwd: PAIN: "As Colt, transmit damage over more than 20 meters using Nexus."
Nexus can be unlocked from killing Harriet (Karl's Bay - Morning). Use Nexus on a group of enemies and then kill one. Ideally you want them fairly spread out. The crowds in the Updaam Courtyard works well.

-Rip and Tear: "As Colt, inflict a truckload of damage to Eternalists during a single use of Havoc."
Havoc can be unlocked by killing Fia. For this achievement I would highly recommend obtaining the 'Withdrawal' upgrade that lets you absorb power back when killing enemies. The groups of enemies found in Updaam will make this easier.
~Basic Combat Achievements
-Oops: "While playing as Colt, cause someone to fall to their death."
Use 'V' to kick an enemy off a ledge and too their death. There is an enemy on a ledge in the opening section ('The Longest Day') when you first get the machete. I'm sure there are plenty of enemies near ledges you can earn this achievement from.

-Chop Chop: "Kill 3 enemies with the machete in 10 seconds."
The machete must is always equipped. Earning 3 kills within 10 seconds will get you the achievement, both stealth takedowns and melee kills count.

-Sugar Crash: "While playing as Colt, use candy to gain a tactical advantage."
There are Candy machines around lots of the maps. Updaam has quite a lot near the tunnel entrance towards the end of the loop. If you break a Candy machine the candies spill over the floor, then lure and enemy over for them to slip on the candy and earn the achievement.

-Cooking With Gas: "While playing as Colt, ignite a gas cloud while someone is inside it."
This can be unlocked easily in Karl's Bay - Morning by blowing up the gas (shooting the gas ignites it) when Harriet lowers an Eternalist into the gas.
~Target Specific Achievements
-Alpha Burger: "Kill Aleksis using his meat grinder."
You need to infiltrate the upper levels of Aleksis Party for this achievement. Try and remain undetected near the party and get on top of the rafters in the room where the contestants are telling jokes. Wait for Aleksis (identifiable by his duel golden guns on his hips) to start telling his joke and then press the button behind the scoreboard to drop him into the meat grinder.

-Power Chord: "Kill Frank using a Slab ability. Take a bow."
To enter Frank's building you must take a ClassPass which disables your slabs. However, on the floor of the building where Frank is located, there is a ClassPass Machine which will re-enable your Slabs. It is recommended to kill Frank with the Havoc Slab.

You can also hack the main door and disable the ClassPass from there. There is also a vent on the back of the mansion which you can use to enter without a ClassPass.

-Game Over: "Kill Charlie within the rules of Condition Detachment."
For this achievement you must go to Fristad Rock - Afternoon and interact with the terminal within the broken bunker on the top of the hill. It will display a map on the screen with three locations. Go to them and activate the radio dishes and then defend them from enemies until all the lights go green.

Then return to the terminal for new 2-BIT commands. Use these commands in Updaam - Noon in Charlie's game (Condition Detachment) and make Charlie the invader. All the Eternalists will turn on Charlie and kill him, unlocking the achievement.

Alternatively, using the batteries on the Rocket and igniting the engines with 2-Bit will unlock the achievement if Charlie is killed.

-Quantum Solution: "Kill all versions of Wenjie within a 90-second period. Simple."
To do this I recommend having Havoc and a couple of high damage weapons with complimentary trinkets equipped. The location is The Complex - Afternoon. There are 15 Wenjie's to kill within the 90-seconds. It is recommended you hack as many cameras in the areas as possible before starting.

-Judgement Day: "Kill Harriet with poisonous gas."
Harriets weapon she drops is called 'The Fourpounder' which is the same as all other types of this pistol, however, it has the unique ability where it creates toxic gas on impact. The best way to get this achievement is to use her weapon against her in a second loop. Shoot the floor until she dies from the toxic gas released.

-Didn’t See It Coming: "Kill Fia without causing a deadly reaction."
During Fristad Rock - Noon, take down Fia without alerting her. You can do this by not triggering any alarms when infiltrating the bunker and also not being spotted by her (stealth takedown). Alternatively, you can deactivate the reactor by inspecting the blueprint in the workshop.

-Not-So-Invisible Man: "Kill Egor while he’s under the influence of a nullifier."
There are plenty of Nullifiers near where you find Egor. When approaching the fight make sure not to set off any mines or alarms as this will make it slightly harder to prepare as he will know you are coming. This will take part in The Complex - Evening.

Nullifiers look like small briefcases when inactive. They strip you and enemies of all Slab powers when inside (including your Reprise ability so be careful). Try and kill Egor while he is within the effective range (white bubble) of one.

-Violent Delights: "Kill Charlie and Fia with a single bullet."
After completing Charlie's and Fia's questlines, they can both be found in the bunker in Fristad Rock - Afternoon. You can either do this the hard way of using the 'Perforator' Trinket that lets bullets travel through enemies or the easier method of using Nexus to link the two and then headshot one.

Alternatively, flooding the bunker will bizarrely give this achievement. This beneficial bug is now unreliable so I would try the Nexus method above.
'The G.O.D. of O.S.P.', 'Mightier Than The Gun', 'Silent Disco' and 'Only The Guilty'
-The G.O.D. of O.S.P.: "Enter a map with an empty loadout and kill all Visionaries present. Leave the map. Wash your hands." -Silent Disco: "Get in and out of a map without being spotted – and kill all Visionaries present." -Only the Guilty: "Kill all Visionaries present in a map and escape without killing any Eternalists." -Mightier Than The Gun: "Kill all Visionaries in a map – and make it to the exit – without using a gun."
You might think grouping these 4 achievements is insane! But you can actually obtain them all at once. Now you might not want to do that but the same method can just be repeated if that's the case, or you can go for all four.

Firstly, you must have the achievement called "Dangerous Liaison" for completing the mission 'Afternoon Delight'. The mission you want is Fristad Rock - Afternoon.

Follow the description of the achievement your aiming for above (or all the descriptions at once if you want) and then proceed into the bunker where you can trigger the flooding sequence that was at the end of that questline. Trigger the bunker to flood and both Charlie and Fia will drown and all you have to do is escape again.

Note: sadly "Mightier than the Gun" is no longer obtainable by flooding the bunker. You can use the same method but use the machete instead.
~Collectible Achievements
-Know Your Enemy: "Complete one AEON dossier."
This achievement is awarded for collecting either written pieces or audio logs about the Visionaries that are categorised under AEON profiles. This unlocked for me after picking up Julianna's "The Sixty-Second Minute" during Updaam - Afternoon. I didn't have AEON profile for Frank or Aleksis so not all Visionaries are needed. In short, collect AEON profiles until it unlocks the achievement.

-Deathday Suit: "Kill the (mostly) naked character in each map."

-The Spice of Life: "Die every which way as Colt: Drown. Fall. Choke on poison gas. Succumb to fatal depressurization. Get blown up. Shot. Stabbed. Ground up. Fried by a rocket. Oh, and obliterated by a reactor. Fun, right?"
Here is all the deaths you need and how to obtain them easily:
  • Drown - Fall into deep water. Karl's Bay or Fristad Rock both work well, any water will do.

  • Fall - Fall from a high building or ledge until you die. Updaam has some cliffs and high buildings.

  • Choke on poison gas - The lower section of Hangar 2 in Karl's Bay is full of gas that you can die in.

  • Fatal Depressurization - Get spotted by a camera in The Complex - Afternoon in Wenjie's Lab.

  • Blown Up - Get blown up by an enemy or blow your self up with grenades.

  • Shot - Just let an enemy spot you and shoot you to death.

  • Stabbed - Let a melee enemy stab you to death.

  • Ground up - Clear the party in Updaam - Evening and then press the button to activate the meat grinder (see 'Alpha Burger') and then use Shift to enter the trap door.

  • Fried by Rocket - Listen to the Eternalists inside Charlie's game in Updaam - Noon. They are on the 'Planet Surface' (first floor) of the game. They will mention a rocket and you will unlock a new piece of information.

    You can toggle to track this information. Follow the waypoint and talk to 2-BIT and then power up the rocket with three batteries (found within the games room). Then activate the rocket and stand near the exhaust.

  • Obliterated by a reactor - Alert Fia to your presence in Fristad Rock - Noon and she will start the reactor meltdown. Just stay alive in the area until it detonates.
You Only Die Once
-You Only Die Once: "Finish an entire loop while wearing a ClassPass."
This achievement is incredibly easy to cheese!

The ClassPass is a debuff that means you cannot use Slabs (including Reprise). It is obtained from Fristad Rock - Morning outside Frank's building. To easily get this achievement, head to the ClassPass machine and kill all enemies between you and the exit. Then use the machine and obtain the ClassPass.

Now head straight to the Exit and leave. Enter each time period (Noon, Afternoon and Evening) and exit them immediately until the loop resets and you will earn the achievement. You cannot skip time on the menu for this to work.
A Charlie Montague Game

-A Charlie Montague Game: "Prove you’re a real gamer by winning Charlie’s Wake Up Challenge, Reward Scheme, the Moxie, Haul-A-Quinn, and the Yerhva."
There are 5 games/challenges around Blackreef that you must complete to earn the achievement.

  • Wake Up Challenge (The Complex - Morning) - You must find 4 hidden crates within a 3 minute timer.

  • Reward Scheme (Karl's Bay - Evening) - Another one for finding crates, however, these are randomly spawning and are puzzles or traps. Find the crates you need and then there will be one final puzzle. This is for the Arsenal Lead called 'Super Shifty' so you should track that.

  • The Moxie (Updaam - Afternoon) - I recommend going to Updaam - Morning to hack the Moxie to put it into easy mode before hand. Doing so will keep the Moxie on easy until the end of that loop. To hack the Moxie enter the service tunnel area next to the building. The Moxie itself is a series of laser and pressure plate puzzles.

  • Haul-A-Quinn (Needs an entire loop!) - The Mannequin is located in Karl's Bay opposite the Yerhva. For this challenge you will need the code found on a whiteboard in Fia's Bunker in Fristad Rock - Noon. The code will be different for your playthrough as it is randomly generated.
    I will delve more into this challenge in an upcoming guide for all challenges!

  • The Yerhva (Karl's Bay) - A series of questions that can be answered from finding the information from in-game notes and audio recordings. The questions are the same every time but in a random order.

Clean-ish Hands
-Clean-ish Hands: "Kill all Visionaries – and no Eternalists – in a single loop."
Probably one of the tougher achievements in Deathloop. You must complete 'Ending It' with no Eternalists killed. First, complete the game once and then start a fresh loop. You can try and stealth/avoid all encounters with Eternalists or speed through the levels which you should now be familiar with to takedown all the Visionaries using the methods you learnt on your first playthrough.

Old Habits Die Hard
-Old Habits Die Hard: "Enter 0451 at a keypad."
Simply put the code 0451 into any keypad in the game. I used the keypad in the opening segment.

This is a reference to Ray Bradbury's 'Fahrenheit 451' and many other games series share this Easter egg.
Ghost at the Feast
-Ghost At The Feast: "Kill 3 targets at Aleksis’ party without being seen. Leave Updaam satisfied, knowing you made the party a better place."
Firstly, you must have finished the games story!

Then on a new loop you must disrupt Egor's experiment so he shows at the party (The Complex - Noon). Wenjie will show at the party if you have already beaten the story once.

Then you must complete Updaam - Evening without being detected and killing all 3 targets. If you mess up at all, quit to the menu and then return back into the game. This will resume from the start of Updaam so you don't need to do the part at The Complex again.

The recommended powers are Shift (with 'Reach' and 'Airborne' upgrades) and Nexus (with 'Influence' and 'Attraction' upgrades) and a Silenced Weapon.

If invaded by Julianna try your best to avoid her and hack the antenna to escape. Hopefully you get lucky and she doesn't show up!
Do not exit the level with the Rocket, use the tunnels.

For Every Occasion
-For Every Occasion: "Take 36 different Trinkets into the field with you while playing as Colt."
Have 36 different Trinkets in your loadout page infused and use them all during missions. They must be unique. Might take a while but should come fairly easily over the course of many loops.
Spoiled for Choice
-Spoiled for Choice: "Infuse one of each type of weapon."
Infusing is unlocked early in the game and this is where you can pay Residuum to keep items and weapons in future loops. The weapons you will need to collect are:
  • Any 'Tribunal'

  • Any 'The Fourpounder'

  • Any 'PT-6 ‘Spiker'

  • Any 'Limp-10'

  • Any 'Vopat Trencher'

  • Any 'Strelak 50-50'

  • Any 'Rapier'

  • Any 'MG-1 ‘Pepper Mill’'

  • 'Strelak Verso' - The Complex - Noon (“In This Together” lead).

  • 'Constancy Automatic' - Fristad Rock - Morning (“All Night Long” lead).

  • 'The Heritage Gun' - Karl's Bay - Evening (“Super Shifty” lead).

  • 'Sepulchra Breteira' - Updaam - Afternoon (“Keep on Giving” lead).
Full Deck
-Full Deck: "Kill a Visionary using a full loadout, without any empty slots or sockets, and escape the map."
Very easy once you have collected lots of items and trinkets. You must have 3 guns equipped (each with maxed trinkets), 4 Character trinkets, and 2 Slabs with maxed upgrades in the slots. Once you have this just enter a level and kill a Visionary and exit the map.
Clean Sweep
-Clean Sweep: "Kill everyone in a time period and escape."
This is unlocked for killing everyone in a time period (in a mission) and then exiting that level. Morning levels work best as they are least populated. Killing Everyone includes Eternalists and Visionaries (if the level you pick contains any).
Bling Bling Bang Bang
-Bling Bling Bang Bang: "Equip a loadout worth more than 45100 Residuum."
To unlock this you will have needed to complete at least a couple of loops to get some good gear and upgrades/trinkets. This should come naturally as you progress. Equipping 'Orange' or 'Purple' guns as well as many 'Purple' Trinkets and upgraded Slabs should easily be enough. You don't need to load a mission, just equipping in the menu will unlock the achievement when you back out of the loadout section.
Die, Die, And Die Again
-Die, Die, And Die Again: "After acquiring Reprise, die for real – or what passes for real in the Loop."
For this you must die repeatedly until your out of lives and then die once more.
Residual Earnings
-Residual Earnings: "Absorb more than 20000 Residuum in a map."
You earn this achievement for collecting at least 20,000 Residuum on a single map. It does not include Residuum you entered the map with. Should be fairly straight forward on a map with two Visionaries, also defeating an invading Julianna is good.
Dead Drop
-Dead Drop: "Absorb Residuum from a body - like some kind of temporal sponge."
You will likely unlock this upon killing your first Visionary (other than Wenjie). Collecting Residuum from your own body also counts.
Nowhere To Run To
-Nowhere To Run To: "Take out an invading Julianna while playing as Colt."
Julianna will invade Colt during the first mission (when returning to Updaam at night). This will be an AI Julianna and not a player making it very easy to kill for the achievement. This can be earned offline or online.
~Online Achievements
These can be earned with a friend who owns the game.
-Nowhere To Hide: "While playing as Julianna, cross Colt off your kill list."
Play the 'Protect the Loop' mode and kill Colt (the other player) until they run out of lives. This can be earned with a friend.

-Dressing Down: "As Julianna, disguise yourself as Colt using Masquerade."
Play the 'Protect the Loop' mode and use Julianna's special Slab called 'Disguise' on the other player (Colt). This will unlock the achievement. Can be earned with a friend.
~Story Related (Unmissable)
-Gooooood Morning, Blackreef!: "Escape to Updaam."
Unlocked after the first section of the story.

-All the Live-Long Day: "Survive all 4 time periods in one day."
Earned for surviving your first loop and reawakening on the beach.

-Welcome to Blackreef: "Complete ‘The Longest Day.’"
Complete your first investigation.

-Pieces of Eight: "While playing as Colt, kill Frank. Or Charlie. Or Fia. Or Wenjie. Or Aleksis. Or Harriet. Egor will do as well." -Ensemble Tragedy: "Kill each Visionary at least once."
Pieces of Eight is earned for killing your first Visionary. Ensemble Tragedy is earned for killing each Visionary once.

-Baby, You’re a Firework: "Complete ‘The Ballad of Ramblin’ Frank.’"
Complete the investigation into Frank.

-Egoraphobia: "Complete ‘Lost in Transmission.’"
Complete the quest around the Visionary Egor.

-Dangerous Liaison: "Complete ‘Afternoon Delight.'"
Unlocked after completing both investigations into Charlie and Fia.

-An Offer She Can’t Refuse: "Complete ‘What Wenjies Want.’"
Complete the investigation into Wenjies.

-Beyond The Horizon: "Complete ‘Radio Silence.’"
Complete the investigation into

-One Perfect Day: "Complete ‘Ending It.’"
Finish the game.
Play It Again, Colt
-Play It Again, Colt: "After finishing the game once, kill all Visionaries in a map and escape."
After beating the game - earning the 'One Perfect Day' achievement - replay any mission with a Visionary and kill them and escape to earn the achievement.

The ending acquired must be for killing Julianna and Colt.

Masquerade yourself as Colt is by far the toughest for me as there is so much lag while playing Juliana online. Anyone here who can add me as friend and allow me to invade their timeline to complete the achievement?

For the prototype in Wenjie's lab you can also hack a turret and carry it into the prototype chamber. If you hack both sensors and deploy the turret on the X on the ground this will overload the turret after switching the laser on and break the case open. You can do it without dying then. Hope that helps!

Thanks for the comments. I've got those achievements already but am looking for how to solve the puzzle for the Fugue slab investigation now. Going to update the guide tonight for these 3 achievements.

The prototype is in the side outpost bit of Wenjie's lab, can be accessed at any point during the day aside from the evening. In the back area as you enter the outpost, the prototype will be there next to two levers. Pull both of the levers to activate the laser from the prototype. Then, look to the left of the prototype and you'll see this battery-station looking thing; stand right next to that, and the sensors diverting the lasers in the room will track onto the player, opening the prototype and probably killing you in the process. DO NOT hack the sensors, else they will ignore you. I hope this explanation makes sense, recalled what I did from memory.

A couple of quick updates to help:

Postmodern Abstractionism - Find one of the new paintbomb enemies. If they're killed without the bomb going off (e.g. stealth headshot) they'll leave behind some paint grenades. You can throw one of these at someone and then shoot it to detonate. There's a few second delay, but it's not too bad to get.

Best of Both World - Is in Karl's Bay in the afternoon. There's an "experiment" in the second building on the left when you first start with an enemy by the front wall where you need to kill multiple enemies with energy around them. You can find them by looking to the sky and finding where the light comes down. If you've got an upgraded blink then you can get around quickly. Focus on killing them and you can collect all of the energy afterwards. If you've killed enough then you'll get a gold trinket.
